Chapter 9 - ''It's him''

ADRAIN POV:

I don't know what happens to me… when I'm near her.

I can't forget her scent… or that feeling when I held her in my arms.

What is happening to me?! I need to make sure she stays away from me. I need to find Andy.

Knock! Knock! Knock! The door creaked open and Mike walked in.

"Where were you?"

"Nowhere. I was just… in the forest."

"In the meeting too, you weren't concentrating."

"Did you find anything about Andy?" I cut him off, ignoring his question.

Suddenly, Drek came running into the room, breathless.

"They found out who took her! But, Adrain… you need to look at yourself first."

Thank God! Finally! I'll kill them—every single one of them—who dared to take her.

I rushed toward the meeting room, Drek and Mike trailing behind me.

The moment I entered, silence fell. Every head turned—my clan's highest members gathered. Elisa rushed toward me, her face pale with worry.

Her voice trembled, though she tried to stay strong."He found her, Adrain… it's him."

"Don't worry. I'll bring her back. Nothing will happen to her," I growled, clenching my fists until my nails dug into my palms.

Dawson. I can't believe he found her. Dawson—you're already dead.

I ordered Drek to form a team. "Search for Dawson. Now. I'm coming for you, Andy."

ANDY POV:

Oh God… where am I? My head feels like it's splitting open.

Slowly, I opened my eyes. Darkness. A single dim bulb hung overhead, flickering faintly. A man sat far across the room in a chair, his face hidden in shadow.

Then—he stood. His footsteps echoed as he began walking toward me.

"Oh, cupcake… you're awake. I missed you so much." His voice slithered into the silence.

My heart stopped. That voice. No… it can't be him. Not him. How did he find me?

Tears spilled down my cheeks uncontrollably. What will he do to me now? Please, let this be a dream. Yes, a nightmare—I just need to wake up!

"Baby," he whispered darkly, "this is not a dream. Your lover is here."

No! It is him. His face loomed close, his cold breath brushing against my skin. My whole body froze as he gripped my chin—his hold like iron, crushing, unyielding.

"Baby… open your eyes, or I'll snap your pretty little neck."

Shaking, I forced my eyes open. His gaze met mine—cold, cruel, and disturbingly amused. My strength drained instantly, leaving me hollow.

"I told you I'd come for you," he hissed. "Why did you run away?"

"Please… let me go. Please!" I begged, my voice breaking, eyes pleading for mercy.

He didn't listen. With a sudden roar, he hurled me against the wall. Pain exploded in my ribs. His eyes burned with fury as he advanced.

Then—the kicks began. Brutal. Merciless.

"I told you—your life belongs to me!"

Kick! Kick!

"Never run from me again!"

Kick! Kick! Kick! Kick!

"You know how much I love you."

Another blow. My nose gushed blood. My chest screamed in agony. My ribs… broken. My body convulsed. My vision blurred, darkness tugging at me.

Through the haze, only one desperate thought pulsed in my mind:

Adrain… please. Please come fast. Only you can save me.
