Chapter 11 - ''Last day of Dwason''

ADRAIN POV:

I told Drek to get the team ready. Today is the last day of Dawson.

Knock! Knock!!

"Come in!"

Elisa walked inside, holding a glass of blood in her hand.

"You didn't rest the whole night. Take this—it will make you feel better."

"Thanks. Is the team ready?"

She nodded.

I'm coming for you, my sister.

EIRA POV:

"Your ankle is fine. Just a small sprain."

"Take these medicines."

"Can I go to college?" I asked, pleading with my eyes.

"Not today. But tomorrow, yes."

I nodded, disappointed. I hate lying in bed. But I guess I have no other choice. I'll read novels online.

I opened a site, scrolling through covers until one caught my eye. A bold title stared back at me: "Werewolves."

Do they exist? What am I thinking? I'm so stupid. But… how did Adrain make those wolves run away?

No! No! Not thinking about him today. But… I will ask him, eventually.

I pushed the thought away and chose a romantic novel instead.

ANDY POV:

I slowly opened my eyes. I wanted to get up—but I couldn't. Pain surged through my whole body, burning, aching, tearing me apart.

Why is this happening to me again?

The room was empty. My memories with him came flooding back, one after another, stabbing me like knives. Even after escaping him, it took me years to bury those nightmares. They haunted me every night.

I remembered how Elisa used to wrap her arms tightly around me, so I could sleep… so I could feel safe. They helped me heal.

Will I ever see them again?

Tears fell as I sobbed loudly, my heart breaking all over again.

Suddenly, the door slammed open.

I curled into the corner, head buried between my knees, trembling in fear. But my tears betrayed me.

I knew it was him.

He kneeled in front of me, gripping my chin so tightly it hurt, forcing me to meet his eyes. Then, without a word, he picked me up and carried me to another room.

This room was different—white walls, a black bed, a black wardrobe. He dropped me on the bed.

"Go. Clean yourself. Wear this." His voice was cold, commanding.

He handed me a black dress. Too revealing. Too humiliating. My whole body shivered.

Oh God, what is he planning?

I wanted to scream NO, but I knew what kind of monster he was. So I took the dress and ran into the bathroom. As I changed, silent sobs shook me.

"Are you coming? Or should I come get you?" His voice thundered from outside, sharp with frustration.

My body trembled as I stepped out.

Before I could think, his arm snaked around my waist, dragging me against him.

"We're going to make love tonight, baby," he whispered, smiling wickedly against my ear.

All the air left my body.

"P…Please… Please, let me go!" I screamed, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Baby, keep quiet. I don't want to hear your screaming."

His tone dropped lower, darker. "Don't ruin my mood. Don't make me angry."

I shoved him with every ounce of strength I had. He fell, stunned for a moment.

Fury ignited in his eyes. He stormed toward me and slapped me so hard my head spun, then threw me onto the bed.

Before I could rise, he was on top of me, kissing me, forcing me, tearing at my dress—

And then—

The door BURST open.

Adrain stood there. His eyes burned with rage as they locked on Dawson. But when he looked at me—just for a moment—his gaze softened. Then he turned back to Dawson, and his fury exploded.

He was across the room in a heartbeat, hand clamped around Dawson's throat. He lifted him, slammed him into the wall, then punched him again and again.

"I TOLD you—if you ever touched her again, this would be your LAST day!" Adrain roared.

Punch! Kick! Punch!

"How DARE you lay a hand on her!"

Dawson bled from his mouth and nose, crumbling under Adrain's wrath.

"Andy!" Adrain turned to me. "Come here. Kick him. Punch him."

My whole body froze. Even seeing Dawson broken, I was terrified.

Adrain came closer, taking my trembling hands. His voice softened.

"Do it, Andy. I know you can. Do it—for Dustin. Do it for yourself."

Dawson coughed blood, smirking through broken teeth. "She can't. She loves me."

His words ignited something inside me.

Rage. Fire.

I ran at him, kicking him hard. My fists rained down, over and over.

"You don't love me! YOU RAPED ME!" I screamed.

Kick! Punch! Kick!

"You destroyed my life!"

Kick! Kick! Punch!

"You're not love—you're a MONSTER!"

Tears blurred my vision, but I didn't stop. Each strike was everything he had taken from me.

"YOU RAPED ME!"

Kick! Punch!

"YOU ARE A MONSTER!"

Kick! Kick! Kick!

Arms wrapped around me from behind, pulling me back. Adrain's voice was soft in my ear.

"Shhh… it's over. He's dead. Everything is all right." He stroked my back gently.

"Sorry. I wasn't able to protect you," he whispered, his voice breaking.

I sobbed into his chest. "No… you DID protect me."

Adrain's eyes hardened as he looked at Dawson's lifeless body.

"Burn him," he ordered Drek, his tone sharp with rage.

I hadn't even noticed when Drek arrived. He nodded.

Then he looked at me. "Are you okay?" His voice was full of concern.

I only nodded, still trembling.

We stepped out of the room.

Dead bodies littered the floor.

Elisa saw me. She rushed forward and hugged me so tightly I thought I might break again—but this time, it was safe.

Finally… finally, I was free. Free from him. Free from the nightmares.
