Chapter 171 - The Reselection VII - The Challengers: Part 4

"So, are you ready to end this, Rin?" Isaac smiled after waiting for Rin to finish his side mission.

"It would seem so," I replied as I took a deep breath before suddenly grabbing Scarlet and dashing toward Isaac like a torpedo.

CRACK! BOOM! SWOOSH!

"Well, then let the game begin," Isaac smirked as he firmly gripped his golden swords and muttered, "Shadow Clone."

As he awaited Rin's attack, which didn't take long to arrive as a flaming kick shot toward his stomach, and caused him to fly backward into the cage's barrier with a thud.

Yet, before Isaac could even react, Rin stepped back and hurled Scarlet like a javelin, which streaked through the air like a lightning bolt. Piercing the unmoving Isaac, who simply smiled, raised a peace sign… and then exploded into a shimmering cloud of fairy dust afterward.

Thud! Whoosh! Zap! Pop!

Simultaneously, as Isaac's clone went out with a bang, catching Rin off guard momentarily, Isaac mysteriously appeared behind him kicking him in the ass without warning.

"Hey, that wasn't cool, man!" Rin complained as he fell to the ground in an awkward position before suddenly rolling out of the way as Isaac thrust his sword downward where his head once was.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Shattering the ground around them in the process as Rin escaped danger, creating space between them. So, he wouldn't be in such an embarrassing and dangerous position again.

"Oh, shut up! You big crybaby," Isaac replied as he threw his other sword at Rin, which he thought would injure him in some way, yet all it did was piss off Rin even more.

Swoosh.

"Tsk, is this what we've become now, Isaac? Kids throwing tantrums instead of sorting things out like men!" Rin shouted out of nowhere as the temperature around them began to increase dramatically.

Once Rin stood up and caught Isaac's sword, which he then turned into a deformed piece of junk with one hand before throwing it back at him.

"Bro, just what the fuck are you talking about? Also, you owe me a new sword," Isaac frowned with anger as he caught his beloved sword and pocketed it.

Before suddenly clutching his remaining sword and zooming toward Rin like an enraged shooting star.

Swoosh! Clang! Clash! Clang! Clash!

Leading to a battle of raw firepower and attrition to see who will end up the winner of this match. As they moved around the arena like two dancers trying to outshine each other while firing off flashy but deadly attacks at each other.

Meanwhile, as this went on, the judges and the audience began trying to guess who might win...

"So, with the fight approaching its climax, who do you all think will win? Will it be the notorious Rin Kurama or the sneaky Isaac Newton? Considering that while it may seem like both fighters are on par with each other, things could always change with the flip of a coin. Nevertheless, in the end, someone will win, so do our lovely panel of judges have a winner in mind?"

The announcer said as he gazed at the judges with curiosity, who were each focusing on the ongoing match while also seemingly lost in their own little world.

"While Isaac is a strong contestant and could have been a part of the training camp, if he had picked anyone else... sadly, he picked the wrong tree to bark at," Felicia yawned with boredom as she took a pause, "So to conclude this statement, I would say, Rin, even though he has a disgusting tendency to play with his food."

She said as she shook her head before retrieving a few snacks from her multi-K.

"Hmm, I see," The announcer commented as he nodded his head in agreement before shifting his focus to the other two judges as he awaited a response.

'Sigh, I guess I'll go next,' The vice president thought after noticing the president was asleep even though she appeared to be wide awake.

"While it's true, Rin is the most likely one to win this match and secure his position for the upcoming training camp. I think the underdog may have a chance as well, even though either of them could win at this point. So, to conclude this, there is no winner as everyone's a winner in their own right, no matter what the outcome of the fight is."

He said with a chuckle before nudging the president.

"Hmm, is everything okay?" The president asked with concern as she woke up and gazed at Calvin, while also swiftly scanning the school to make sure nothing was wrong.

"Yes, President, everything's running smoothly—well, except for that tiny blunder earlier. But on a more serious note, the crowd and those watching at home are dying to know: who do you think is going to come out on top between Rin and Isaac?"

"Oh... um, if I had to choose, it would be Isaac, even though Rin is the fan-favored champion of the match. But then again, who knows, for the future could always change," she said mysteriously with a giggle as she waved at a nearby camera and blew a kiss.
