Chapter 22 - CHAPTER 22

Charles hopped to his black expensive car. He went in without thinking anything but to get to the party as fast as he could and get out as early as possible. He placed on the gear to drive and it went fast that no one could imagine how fast it was. It was a silent drive as he turned to corners and when he reached to the traffic light it was full stop. He was upfront of the stop. There are pedestrian walking as he patiently waited for the go sign to lit up. But then he noticed a young lady careless walking pass him. She was well fit. She had a smirk that he was familiar with. But she was a bit thin than to the person he knew. But he got a gut feeling. His heart was pounding. He could not get his eyes off her.

"Is that her?" he thought as he grasped his heart. He was overjoyed but sad as he could imagine the last meeting. He was dead cold to her as she looked at him with pain as she felt being wronged. His thoughts were disrupted as the honk from the behind distracted him. He geared to drive and took a u-turn and followed the young lady slowly. He did not want to disturb her for now. He just wanted to know where she was going.

She entered to a cafe and sat to a table where a man was sitting. She was smiling at him as they greeted each other. Charles heart was about to burst in anger as he saw them together. The man was holding her hand and caressing it as if she was a jewel to him.

Then something get him to came out of the car. The man was kneeling in front of her and showed her a big rock of a ring. She was teary as she showed how surprise and how happy she was. Her emotion showed sadness as she looked at him. She was talking to him as if explaining something. Charles could not take it anymore. He marched in and stood proud between them.

The young lady was so surprised that she froze in place. The man was just looking at her as if he was trying to see who was this man who just came in.

"Found you, wife" Charles emphasized. Immediately, the man on the side understood her reaction.

Samantha got angry. "Well, not for long" she managed to compose herself.

Charles grabbed her wrist and pulled her hard. She struggled but he was stronger that he managed to lift her up and carried her out of the cafe. She was hitting his chest as she tried to get out from his arms.

"Wife, if you will not stop I will make sure you know that you are mine alone" he said. Sam froze and stopped herself from hitting him.

He placed her inside his car and buckled her up. He walked to the driver side and drove the car with ease.

"I want a divorce Charles" she spoke after few minutes of silence.

"Afterall, I am just a pain in your life. You do blame me for your loss of your child from Clara" she added. Charles was quite. Sam did not know if he was listening or just plainly ignoring her.

"Charles, I already contact my attorney regarding it. That is why I am in the city. Afterwards, you will not see me again when it is finalize" she kept on

"Where is my child?" Charles interrupted her. Sam paused as if trying to outweigh the outcome.

"He is dead" she finally said, Charles hinted her lies.

"Where is my child, WIFE?" he emphasized.

"I told you he is dead" she said as she tried to be more convincing. She knew she lack in acting but she did not want her child be taken away from her. It was impossible to do, but she was afraid it could happen.

"Wife, you are lying to me. I am well aware he is alive as you" he said, "I just could not trace you for some reason but I am well aware you gave birth to a healthy baby boy a year ago" he added.

"He died along the year, Charles" she immediately retorted.

"Oh... and what cause his death if he is indeed dead?" he was challenging her.

"Stop lying wife" he added. Sam kept quite and did not say anything.

She noticed that they were going to their old home. He parked infront of the door. She saw her old nostalgic home. The butler went to greet them. It was evident on the butler's face his surprise, but he composed himself and opened the door for her. He bowed as she stepped out of the car and warmly greeting her, "Good day, madame. It is good to see you" he said. Sam looked at the old man but she did not bother to reply him. She looked around the house and wondered what was Charles thinking. She did not know why he brought her on their old house. She even wondered why he was still staying in their house.

Charles grabbed her hand without asking and walked with Sam together without letting go off her hand. The maids were all lined up as they greeted her.

Sam saw the house, it was the same as she left it. She did notice that beside the butler, all the maids were new. She did not saw the familiar faces when she stayed a year ago. Her thoughts were disrupted when Charles talked.

"You rest upstairs for now as I would change my outfit. Then we will go to our child to fetch" he said.

Sam pulled out her hand. "Why cant you understand? I want a divorce. I am not part of your life anymore. And you dont have a child anymore that you can weigh me down" she frantically argued with him. But Charles was composed.

"and you gonna marry that chap in the cafe? You will abandoned me for that GUY?" he was getting angrier.

"He is far better than you Charles" she said with eyes with great determination to cut all ties with him

"He knows me well" she added.

then suddenly Charles kissed her hard. He pushed her to the bed and vigourously make his way to her. Sam tried to struggle but her mind went blank.

It was so long that she felt his kiss. She could not contain anymore her cries.

Charles continued to kissed her and ignoring her cries.

"I love you so much" he whispered as he devoured her to the bed.
