Chapter 9 - Episode 9: Training, Route 5, and Saffron

After going through some names in My head I decided on calling it the Battle Dojo, as I a Battle Trainer and its purpose is to train my Pokémon for battle. Reaching the dojo I decided to stay here for longer and train my Pokémon for the upcoming Gym Battles.

I first started off with all my flying-type pokemon and trained them with the Basic Steel Guide, Batty (Zubat) and Talon (Hoothoot) were to first to learn a new move that being Steel Wing. Batty also gained a new ability called Corrosion and after checking it this is what it said.

===========

Corrosion

Allows a Poison move to hit Steel-type pokemon for Neutral Damage.

Hits Ground/Rock types for Super Effective Damage.

===========

With this ability Batty maybe able to become my team's wallbreaker. If I raise it correctly it could use its speed to deal massive damage while causing status conditions and it wouldn't have to worry about steels being steels. With that route being set in stone I told Batty to practise the Basic Fighting Guide in hopes of him getting a fighting type move, for dealing with Ice types. I had Talon practise the Basic Psychic Guide to better utilize its Special Attack.

After I was done with them I gathered all that Bug-types and bought the Regular Bug Guide for 2,000 SP, and had them practise it. Then gathering the Normal types I had them practise all the Basic Guides so that they could learn everything they could, while normal may not be the strongest of types it is certainly the most versatile one capable of learning moves of almost all types. Ruby (Happiny) didn't train in the elemental guides and instead focused on treating all of my pokemon.

I had Lucky (Pikachu), Aurum (Magnemite), Pooch (Poochyena), Slash (Sandshrew), both digletts, both geodudes, and Rocks (Onix), practise together. As all the Electric types needed stronger electric type moves and just power overall, while all the others needed to build up way better defenses.

I trained with all my fighting type pokemon and the psychic type pokemon, in order to become stronger myself while also helping my pokemon. All my other pokemon trained the way they've been training for a while now.

After three days of training I thought that was enough, and the benefits for my pokemon showed. Aurum became a Magneton. Aqua evolved into Poliwhirl. Dragoon became the strongest member as a Gyarados with the Dark typing. Pooch became a Mightyena, but shall forever be called Pooch. Muscles evolved into a Machoke. All my bug pokemon evolved, while all my flying type also evolved. Batty became a Golbat, with a unique typing of Toxic replacing Poison. Those are only a few example but every single one of my pokemon changed in some way and so did I.

============================================

With a big boost to my abilities I asked the system if I could increase the amount of SP gained per day.

Sys: [Of course you can. Would you like to see the Upgrade screen?]

Saying yes, what came up was a screen with options to upgrade the system, my abilities, my pokemon, heck I could even upgrade people I barely even know. I had 11 UP, or upgrade points, to spend and spent it on the SP per day option and observation/research speed, both costing only 1 UP each for a total of five upgrade each. I wanted to save the last UP for just in case things go south in the near future, and if they don't then I'll put it in SP per day. The amount I get now is 100,000 SP per day.

I'm finally leaving Cerulean after staying there for almost a whole week. My next stop would be Vermilion, but it's much faster going to Saffron and getting its Gym Badge than taking a detour to Vermilion. After deciding to go south to Route 5 and then to Saffron. I headed there while taking with me Aurum, Dragoon, Radish (Gloom), Aqua, Pooch, Ziggy (Zigzagoon), Blaze (Combusken), Ruby, Muscles, Emblance (Absol), and Batty. I thought these pokemon could help me on my journey and I was going to train them together to make the ultimate team.

Route 5 was just a straight path to Saffron, I wonder why this is a Route even. Nonetheless I made sure to watch out for any pokemon that look interesting or different than what I know. I managed to catch a Growlithe and a Vulpix as everything else I already had, or will have when my pokemon evolve. I sent them to the dojo, I told Spoons (Kadabra) before I left that he should tell the pokemon I send there what to do.

Arriving at the gate the man there was being, let's say less than cooperative, he kept saying he was thirsty, and wouldn't let me through. So in the end I filled up an empty water bottle and through it at his face, that was so satisfying. He let me through after saying he'll share the water bottle with the other guards. I swear the people in this region are so privileged and all they do is complain half the time, maybe the Gym leaders in Cerulean and this guard are getting to me.

If I thought Cerulean was big it was nothing to Saffron, every street was clean and proper with no mess and more importantly they had places labeled for people like me who are too cheap to stay at the pokemon center. My opinion of Saffron was way better than the other cities in Kanto so far.
