Ethan Laurent stood high on the stairs, his gaze following her silhouette as she walked down. He wanted to follow her, but his wrist was unexpectedly grabbed by Esther Shaw.
"What's up?" He glanced at her indifferently, his tone eternally calm.
"Is there something you haven't told the family?" Esther Shaw didn't spell it out, just hinted at it indirectly.
"What is Mom referring to?" Ethan Laurent actually knew well what she was implying, but he didn't answer directly, casually diverting her question instead, "By the way, shouldn't the baby be back soon?"
"You jerk!" Esther Shaw shot him a playful glare before continuing up the stairs.
Ethan Laurent pursed his lips and continued downstairs nonchalantly.
