I struggled against the darkness that was surrounding me. It was cold and lonely and it remained for a moment. Until I saw a flash of orange. Then it disappeared. I squint against the darkness and it came again, it didn't go away this time. It was fire and before my eyes, I saw fear, destruction, and hatred. All that happened in my past life. Which i wanted to forget to start a new life and live happily. It worked out and it was perfect to live again. Until I met this strange girl and I started having weird dreams about my past. My dreams were usually like this one but this one was different it was painful than the rest. So I was all alone in this darkness helplessly looking at my past life. It was so depressing that I couldn't take it anymore I screamed which irritated my ears. But it didn't bother me.
I then opened my eyes and gasped. I then realized it was a dream and it was already 7 in the morning which meant time to get up. I took a deep breath and took a sip of water. I looked over at Kelly my roommate who was still sleeping. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I checked my reflection in the mirror, and the vivid dream came back again. I shook my head and took a long shower, trying to remove the dream from my mind. I was in the shower for so long until I heard a knock on the door. " Amelia, hurry up I have to use the bathroom or else we'll be late." Kelly yelled through the door. "okay I'm almost out!" I yelled back. That was how things were between kelly and me. We were different towards each other because we weren't comfortable with one another. But it worked out fine. And we are friends now I guess. I got out of the bathroom and heard the doorbell. I opened it and it was the strange girl holding out a cardboard box with a weird smile.
