Shi Che seemed to know what Ling Chuxia was thinking, his black eyes fixed on her as he spoke indifferently, "After crossing the road, I will leave."
Ling Chuxia's brows furrowed instantly. She wanted him to leave now, not after crossing the road, but just as she was about to speak, she caught sight of the unquestionably dominating presence lurking in Shi Che's seemingly calm and rippleless eyes. The words died in her throat.
It wasn't that she didn't dare to say it, but she knew it would be in vain. Why waste her breath?
Ling Chuxia tried hard to suppress the frustration welling up inside her, shot Shi Che a resentful glance, and turned to walk toward the road. He followed at the same unhurried pace, not one step more, not one step less.
Fortunately, he did keep his promise; once they had crossed the road, he stopped and didn't continue to follow Ling Chuxia. He stood there, watching her take step by step towards the company.
