"Hah... Ha.."
Under the gleam of the moon, her skin was full of graze as she ran passed the trees and some debris. Tired from running for her life. She sat under a tree and look around her, she was surrounded by darkness and trees. Only the moonlight illuminated her.
She had nowhere to go.
With her situation, only if miracle would happen that she would be save from here. But that's far from truth, because no one will save her.
Her family never care anymore after the disgrace she have done or did she really do? No! Because she was just framed up.
And her husband? He had conspire with her little sister, how vicious! Only if she had known better this would never happened!
Exhausted, she could not reached any farther, and her pursuers already reach her.
Goon 1: "Where has she gone?"
Hooligan 2:"Miss Alzona! Get out! You had nowhere to go! Might as well just come out and let us play first! Maybe we might even release you and let you live! Hahahaha!"
'How nasty! They are no longer human, what do they think I am? A whore? No! I would never allow it, 'it would be better to die than lose my dignity!' The one they call 'Miss Alzona' thought.
You can hear their laugh everywhere. They were the only person here as the place is a secluded, so it's easy to hear every sound you make.
She hold her breathe as she was afraid she would be found.
But she didn't know what evil thing she have done in her past life that she encounter such misfortune in this life. Because as she tried to peek, a goon's ugly face popped up in front of her! She knew she had no time to criticized him but apparently she thought that they don't need to use any formaline to make her unconscious his breathe is enough to do so.
"Got you!" His screamed startled her and she can't help to shriek.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!"
She ran as fast as she can. You can heard the sounds of dry leaves as she step all over them as she ran while being chased by the goons.
She didn't mind the exhaustion she felt, for what she had in her mind was to escape even if death is the only way to escape 'cause it's the only way she has to escape her situation.
"Just come with us to make our job easier!"
"That's right! You can't escape either wherever you go!"
She didn't say a word and kept running until she reach the end.
In front of her is a cliff and behind her were the ten men chasing her.
Death awaits in both direction. But it was up to her whether what death she want to end up.
Goon 1: "You don't have to go anywhere anymore, just do what we want and we may let you live longer! Hahahaha!"
Later on, his comrade join him as he laugh.
She looked down the cliff to check how deep it is, and she was dizzy just how deep it looks. She also heard the noise of stream below, it seems like there was a river below.
She was afraid of water.
'But .. it would be better for me to die from drowning than by the hands of these people.' She thought to herself.
Goon 2: "Miss Alzona! Don't tell you plan to jump from here! Death is waiting for you if you do that! If you just agree to do what we want? You are not just happy, you're also alive! Hahahaha!"
Once again there was a loud noise of laughter.
"It would be better to die in this way than to die in your hands!" she shouted and without a doubt jumped down the cliff.
At the same time there was a noise and groan of being beaten up. And gun shot, lots of gun shot that was aim to her.
And an excruciating feeling hit her abdomen, shoulder and heart while some just graze her skin. She also saw a silhouette of someone held back the person just shot her as if stopping him.
She also heard someone calling her a name that she no longer use. That was the last thing she remember as she felt the strong splash of water as she drown.
"Athena!!"

"Athena!"
"Athena!"
A silhouette.. is what she saw trying to wake her up. She even felt that someone perform a CPR on her.
When she drew out the water on her lungs, the voice once again called out for a name she had not used for a long time.
"Athena! Athena, are you alright?"
But darkness engulf her whole being for the second time and the last thing she heard was they were calling for an ambulance.

A white ceiling and the smell of disinfectant came up to her.
She tried to sit down from lying in the bed. And surprisingly she could not feel the pain of bullets that hit her.
She looked around and found out that she was in a hospital. 'Who brought me here? Why am I here? Didn't I die? I mean who would survive from a gunshot directly to your heart?'
The door opened and she was greeted by the person who raise her that she had not seen for a long time.
"Athena! My daughter! My God! Are you all right?"
"W-what-"
She can't finish what she had to say because of lack of words.
"Is there anywhere you are hurt?"
"Why-!"
Confused, she wanted to as why they were there and what happened.
"Doc! Check our daughter, what happened to her. Maybe she had some complications!"
The doctor and nurse complied and check her.
"The patient was just shock from being drown for too long. Fortunately, she was saved in time because it could cause a brain damage that could lead to the patient being comatose."
Those words... those phrases were just the same.. as it was that day... that day 9 years ago when I was drown that lead me to have an aquaphobia.
"What's happening?" finally she was able to voice out her question.
"My daughter, don't you remember? You almost drowned in the sea when you joined your little sister at the Beach Party she attended. Good thing your fiance was there to save you."
"What?" She ask in not convince of what she heard.
"Impossible." She whisper.
