( Yuuki's POV )
After bringing everyone into the maze we formed groups before starting to explore, my team consisted of Rizu, the hero in training, Erica, Lisanna, Kunou, Yuri, and me.
Upon reaching the twentieth floor of the dungeon, a group of adventurers was considered first class, and we crossed that mark very easily, the next milestone for an adventurer was to reach the fortieth floor, once you get there you will be considered elite, again we got there easily.
There things started to get a bit challenging but my feeling that things were too easy didn't go away, but this served to collect materials and as training for our newest members so it wasn't a complete loss.
We advanced faster than expected and we ended up reaching the sixtieth floor, I was thinking of stopping the expedition ten floors ago but being so close to the sixty-fifth floor I decided to continue, and why that floor was important in particular, the strongest adventurer in the world who came after the era of God and his apostles only reached the 65th floor, no one has gone further.
Yuuki: Rizu, Kunou, Yuri, you guys should stay back.
The reason no one had gone beyond the 65th floor is because a powerful magical beast known as Behemoth was guarding that floor, we haven't had any problems so far but this might be a little more than our new members could handle, so when we got to the 65th floor I told them that they should stay behind but when I took one look at them I knew that they weren't going to stay behind.
Yuuki: ok new plan, Kunou and Yuri you stay close to me, Rizu don't hold back bring everything you have.
With what I said Rizu activated her kagunes which were four long tails that looked like a spine and that was the same color as her hair, the rest of us were ready so we moved ahead, The place before the entrance to the 65th floor was a giant bridge that was the only thing keeping us from falling into an abyss that seemed bottomless, two magic circles lit up and monsters started coming out of there, Near us an army of skeletons began to appear and on the other side of the bridge was the big boss Behemoth who was like a giant demonic boar, that let out a roar and the monsters began their assault, Erica and Lisanna dispatched some skeletons that dared to come closer and I extended my hand forward, the temperature of the place dropped rapidly, I froze the bridge and covered the magic circle that was summoning the skeletons, I also covered the hole to the abyss, creating a wider battle arena for us.
Behemoth let out another roar and Rizu prepared to attack, she had a spear as a weapon and she threw it with all her might towards Behemoth, The spear passed through a magic circle created by Rizu and that gained incredible speed and power, the spear stuck in one of Behemoth's horns but that was Rizu's intention.
Rizu and Erica moved to the sides of the beast and Lisanna stood in front, she used her Grimhound transformation and when the beast charged towards us Lisanna stopped it in its tracks with pure strength, Erica transformed her rapier into a spear and she stabbed the beast's other horn as Rizu had done.
Rizu used her kagunes to grab the two stuck spears and with a powerful pull she ripped the creature's horns off.
Kunou and Yuri used magic to rain lightning down on the creature but the creature's shell proved too tough for the girls to break but they were able to soften its defenses, Rizu gave me a look and I understood her completely, She threw the two horns of the beast into the sky and I appeared above them, with a touch I increased the gravity on the horns and they fell like meteors.
Behemoth's defense was destroyed and he was in a half-dead state but he still could be a problem until his magic stone was broken or extracted, Rizu and Erica jumped on the beast and used their spears to pull out the long magic stone, and the monster disintegrated.
We returned to the bridge and with a stomp the ice that had been created crumbled and fell into the abyss, we were going to wait here for the others to join us, but when I heard the ice hitting the bottom of the abyss, I became curious, In all the floors we explored we never found a route directly down and I couldn't ignore that.
Yuuki: wait here, I'll see what's down there.
Without waiting for the girls' response I jumped over the side of the bridge, And after some time of free fall I spread my wings of light and illuminated the path below but as I was approaching the bottom I found some natural light so I retracted my wings and I landed.
I observed the unusual but still familiar part of the dungeon that was illuminated by crystal light, the place was a little more open than the series of tunnels I was exploring before, and even the air here felt different, I only had to take a couple of steps for a magical beast to appear, from behind a large cristal came a kind of bizarre rabbit, Its body was obviously bigger than a normal rabbit's and its hind legs were too long and thick for the body they were holding but the most notable thing was the red lines that ran all over his body.
Those red lines were characteristic of any magical beast but that was not easy to detect, that was not the case in this bizarre rabbit, the red lines on his body were clearly visible, especially on his legs which were clearly his main form of attack.
I made a finger gun and shot a lightning bolt straight at the beast and it made a big jump to dodge, I took another shot but the creature kicked the air as if it were solid ground and changed direction, immediately he kicked again and fired a shock wave towards me.
I took the attack head on and put on a smile at the beast's power that was more in line with what I expected from a monster in an ancient dungeon, I activated my bone tails and grabbed the rabbit by its neck, with a squeeze I separated the rabbit's head from its body.
