Maya's POV
I followed my mother in going inside the main house, and then I walked behind her, heading to the mansion's library. I can't control the rapid beating of my heart as I think of a possible reason why she wants me to have a serious talk with her. She sat on the sofa and motioned me to sit beside her.
"Maya, I received a letter from the same person who informed your grandparents years ago that your biological mother, Angela died. She told me she found a journal of your mother, and she also found my mailing address. She asked me if I could go to her place if I am interested in getting off your mom's things, and she informed me that the public cemetery would exhume your mother's remains and transferred her to the mass grave since no one is paying for her burial space. Angela's friend could no longer pay for the yearly rent, and the cemetery needed to use your mom's current burial space." Mom Esmeralda said, and my mouth hangs open since I don't know what to tell her.
