Narrative Arc: Before and After Sari went missing
"Before I start your training, I need to see your limits," Miss Ramses said, her voice, a raspy tone. "You will stay in the Doom's Forest for one week. Pay attention to everything—your surroundings, the sounds, the smells—because the forest will throw all sorts of beasts and monsters at you. If you survive, you can return here. Then, I will fight you, and you must use what you learned inside the forest to beat me."
"What about food and shelter?" I asked, a knot forming in my stomach.
She gave a small, almost predatory smile. "You are to act as if you're lost in a normal forest and do whatever you must to survive. However, since I am training you, your training grounds will be anything but normal. And another rule, you can't contact anyone for help or advice. Good luck."Miss Ramses said as if she was probing the depths of my courage.
