Chapter 13 - Chapter 13:My Envy of Searena

What am I in the eyes of most people — a nonentity, an eccentric, or an unpleasant person — somebody who has no position in society and will never have; in short, the lowest of the low. All right, then — even if that were absolutely true, then I should one day like to show by my work what such an eccentric, such a nobody, has in his heart. That is my ambition, based less on resentment than on love in spite of everything, based more on a feeling of serenity than on passion.

Though I am often in the depths of misery, there is still calmness, pure harmony and music inside me. I see paintings or drawings in the poorest cottages, in the dirtiest corners. And my mind is driven towards these things with an irresistible momentum.

-Vincent Van Gogh

She stretched out her slender brown arms and she looked at the group with a tired look, her dark pink eyes glimmering at each blink. She was so graceful with her movements, even her involuntary ones.

Once she caught my gaze she smiled and waved at me, my eyes glowed gray. I could feel them glow and it seems the more envious I feel, the more power I felt growing inside me.

It was wonderful and alluring but it soon stopped after Searena turned her attention to the boys, folding her arms and swinging her tail in question, I believe.

"So what did I miss? And why are those two blushing?" Searena pointed to a very flustered Koi and Ryan.

Kai chuckled, swimming over to Searena putting a hand on her shoulder. "Oh nothing sweet dearest Searena, hehe." Kai smirked as Searena gave him a look of question, raising a brow between Koi and Ryan, then at me.

I froze, why was she looking at me did I do something wrong? "H.hey Searena haha? Is there something wrong?" Her reply to me was spoken softly, her voice hitting the ripples of the water. "No, I was just wondering, if you had a vision yet? The boys usually act like this when someone has had a vision, so I was wondering was it you?"

I nodded to Searena's question and she raised a brow at me, thinking. "Hm, if this is true then we need to go to the cave before you forget the vision. It's important to go to the cave urgently once you have a vision because it gives us a clue to-. It helps with remembering past memories."

Searena's face looked at the three other Sirens with concern and they nodded.Me being completely oblivious to their signals but I nodded as well. Not being concentrated with the those signals, that would be crucial in the future. It was time to finally see this cave.
