Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: New Beginning

{{{IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME WITHOUT YOU ... Anyways, welcome to my new chapter. I have done some editing to my previous chapter as well. I hope you enjoy.}}

As the darkness swallows Nasrin, she feels a warm sensation touching her. The same safeness that she feels when she is with Admon. Like he used to, she can feel his hand caressing her cheeks gently as she floats in the endless darkness. She tries to make out her surrounding in hopes of seeing Admon, but she only finds herself surrounded by a black void. She tries to look even harder and notices a bright light. Suddenly, she feels herself being pulled towards that light and closes her eyes to protect them from the sudden brightness. A voice rings out in her head from the inky darkness surprising her.

[SYSTEM ACTIVATING..0%....5%....25%....50%....75%....99%...99%...99%...] and it stops.

Experiencing a sudden headache, Nasrin is unable to think much about the voice. She slowly opens her eyes only to find that she is blind. She knows that she isn't floating around in darkness like before as she can feel her surrounding. The pleasant feeling of the slight breeze hitting her accompanied by the warm feeling of the sunlight and the sound of flowing water assures her of that. But she can also "see" that she can not see a thing at all and can't help but panic.

Then, she remembers all the things that she has been through and she finds herself unable to be bothered by her blindness anymore. She thinks of her Admon and blames herself for his demise. She blames herself for not being strong enough to stand up to those demonic orcs. The darkness in front of her eyes seems trivial in front of the growing emptiness in her heart.

As she spirals down the dark hole of her heart, she feels the same warmth as before, the warmth of Admon's hands. As if encouraging her not to give up, she finds herself pulled out of the dark hole. Tears start strolling down her eyes and she finds her vision return but all she sees is huge white walls surrounding her in a room, an impossibly huge room.

[SYSTEM ACTIVATED SUCCESSFULLY. Welcome dear host to the world of cultivation.]

Nasrin gets startled as she hears the sound. She remembers these things as Admon used to talk to her about them.

"It seems I have reincarnated, in a world of cultivation and with a system to boot but why am in an empty white room."

[Host is currently in your soul form inside your soul space. This is not where your real body is in.]

"What is a soul space, and how do I get out of it? And why am I here."

[A soul space, as its name suggests is a space where the soul resides. Everyone has their own soul space although only some people can enter their own soul space.

You can get out if you just think about doing so.

As your mentality was getting worse and worse, your soul seems to have been brought here by someone. Though I do not know who that someone is.

I do have a message from that someone though. Do you wish to view the message?]

Listening to what the system said, Nasrin hurriedly asks the system to view the message.

[My dear love,

I am your friend Admon. Please don't blame yourself for my death. It was an inevitable fact. I just hope that the one I have loved will live guilt free. Yes, I have always loved you. Only after dying could I muster the courage to say these words to you. I hope that you can reciprocate the same affection towards me as well.

You must be wondering how I could leave you a message. Well, long story short, I have been given a chance by god to wish for two things of my choice. I used one of these wishes for you to live in a different world full of love. I used the other wish to always be near you. Unfortunately, it seems that I am the son of god of beauty. How ironic isn't it? My trial as a demi-god is already over and as such, I can't be with a mortal. Fortunately, I can give my divine essence some form to help you in your new life. Since I can't be with a mortal, I thought of making you an immortal but I don't seem to have the power or authority to do so. That's why I chose a cultivation world for you so that you can cultivate to be an immortal.

Although there are bound to be many obstacles in your path, I hope that you never give up on your life and strive for what is yours. I hope that you can let go of your past grievances and live an new life. I will always be looking out for you whether you know it or not. I hope that we can meet each other face to face as soon as possible. Until then, good luck.

P.S.: The system is the form taken by my divine essence.]

As she reads this, her emotions gush out of her eyes like never before. She is happy for Admon, sad because she can't see him (at least not yet) and afraid of what is to come. But, she knows that she can go through this and reunite with her love. She knows she has to move on from her dark past.

And as Nasrin thinks so, her heart seems to have gained renewed vigor and her eyes burn with determination. She swears to herself to live up to Admon's wishes and have a new beginning. Resonating to her heart, her surrounding seemingly changes. All around her is a beautiful grassland under the starry night sky.
