Chapter 13 - Loser

2 weeks had passed from the day of the seminar and the team finally had a break from work. Now, it was a time of relaxation.

But it was the opposite for Hede, who had been dreading for this day to come all week.

He was still in his room, packing his bags for the trip to Abbadon's place. He knew Abbadon hated him, and would try to eat him alive if it weren't for his mother.

He sighed again for the 8th time today, and finally finished packing. He stood up with his duffel bag and went downstairs to meet Kira.

She was leaning on the wall next to the door, and looked up at the sounds coming from the stair.

"Your finally done. Thought you'd never finish." Kira said.

Hede stayed silent.

"Don't worry Hede, I'll be by your side the whole time were there." Kira said, throwing an arm over Hede's shoulders.

Hede nodded and Kira took that as an okay.

"The aircraft is outside already, so we should get going." Kira said. "Goodbye guys." She yelled over her shoulder to the rest of the house.

Everyone in the house yelled their various goodbyes and then Kira and Hede were out of the door and into the aircraft.

Kira sat on the right side while Hede was on the left.

The pilot-Sebastian-was Abbadon's personal butler and right hand man. Whatever Abbadon did, Sebastian was almost always by his side. But Sebastian was kind, and caring, and an all around good man.

After he had set the aircraft on auto-pilot, Sebastian had turned spun his chair towards the two of them.

"Ms. Kira and Young Master Hede, how have you two been?" Sebastian asked.

"Fine, Sebastian. Still a bit shaken from the seminar, but fine." Kira replied.

Sebastian sighed and shook his head. "Yes, I heard Master Abbadon had caused young master

Hede some trouble. I apologize for his unpleasantness."

"Don't worry about it. He just slapped me in the face, it's no big deal." Hede said solemnly.

Sebastian sighed again. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, Young Master Ky is staying at the manor this week."

"Really?" Hede said, hopeful.

"My brother will be there? I haven't seen him in forever." Kira said, suddenly excited.

Sebastian smiled. "Would you like me to speed up the aircraft?"

"Yes please."

Back at the Team Z house, Mason was packing his bags to go to his parents place. Javes was leaning on his door frame inside the room. He watched silently as Mason talked a mile a minute about his family back home. From the lasagna his aunt would make, to the jokes his dad would tell, even to exercises he did with his sister. It all sounded pure and happy to Javes.

He would never admit it aloud, but Javes was jealous of Mason. He had attentive parents, a cool sibling, an all-round great family, basically the opposite of him. At the very least, he could actually judge his brother. He saw him all the time. His parents were just too busy.

"Javes." Mason half shouted.

Javes looked up from the spot he had been staring at on the ground.

"What?" He avoided Mason eyes.

Mason brushed his shaggy brown hair from his face. "I asked if you were going to you're aunt's place."

"No."

"Then, do you wan-"

"No, I don't."

"But, you don't know what I was about to say."

"You were going to ask me to come to your family's place."

"Yeah, so do you-"

"My answer hasn't changed."

"Okay, that's fine."

Mason grabbed his duffel bag and walked until he reached Javes and he ruffled his hair. "Bye Javes."

Javes grumbled and slapped his hand away. "Whatever."

Mason walked out the door and down the stairs. At the front door, Mason yelled 'Bye' and everyone who was still in the house said goodbye.

After Javes heard the door slam shut, he walked out of Mason's room and downstairs to the living room. Zak was on the couch, watching a Low-ball game, while eating popcorn. Javes dropped next him.

"Give me the bowl, loser." Javes said, pointing to the bowl.

"You're a such a bully." Zak said while passing the popcorn.

Javes snatched it away. "Shut up."

Zak kept quiet. They watched the game in silence, before Zak spoke.

"Why didn't you go with Mason to his place?" Zak asked.

"I don't hang out with losers."

"But you're hanging out with me."

"Shut up."

"Do you think you're not good enough to hang out with Mason," Zak asked curiously.

"or do you think that hanging out with me will make you forget about how big of a loser you think you a-"

Javes punched Zak so hard he flew off the couch and landed on the floor with a loud thud.

"I said shut up!" Javes seethed in anger and he jumped on Zak and started punching him like there was no tomorrow. Zak fought back with his own punches, and soon enough they were full on punching and kicking.

The fighting only ended when two daggers got between the two them and was put by their throats. The boys turned their heads to look at Helix, who had bags under his eyes.

Helix yawned. "You idiots woke me up. Now break it up-or someone gets really hurt." Javes and Zak looked at the dagger against their throats and slowly let go of each other. Helix removed the dagger and looked around.

There was blood everywhere. Like the scene from a horror movie. He looked at Javes and Zak who didn't even look human anymore, though their face was mending because of their healing factor.

"You guys should clean up, or Kira will bury you 6 feet deep." Helix said tiredly. "What even happened to make you guys fight like that?"

Zak opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by-

"Never mind, I don't care. Just leave me out of it." Helix turned around and walked back up the stairs.

"Bye."

Zak and Javes were left there alone. The room and their faces a mess.

"Tch." Javes said and stormed out the front door.

He walked and walked until he reached a small patch of trees. He sat next to one and closed his. His bracelet vibrated on his wrist and after ignoring it he looked to see who was calling.

'Mason-Calling'

He debated on whether to pick up or not, before deciding he had nothing better to do, and answered.

The screen changed and soon Mason's happy-filled face was there, smiling, like he always was. It quickly changed to worry after he saw Javes' face, though.

"What happened? Are you alright? Who did this?" Mason asked frantically.

Javes stayed quiet. He stared at Mason who was looking more worried by the second.

"Where are you?" Mason asked finally.

"I'm by the house."

"I'll be there in a minu-"

"No, don't. Go be with your family. Leave me alone."

Mason stared hard at the screen before nodding and hanging up. Javes sat in that spot for a few more minutes before he heard someone shouting.

"Javes! Javes where are you?!"

Javes looked over his shoulder and saw Mason walking around.

'Idiot.' Javes thought, but stood and walked to Mason.
