Chapter 925 - Hic!-Ho-YO

The guards didn't know what to do. The Primeape was wearing an eye patch, some torn clothes, and had a big backpack on its back. It also had a wooden bottle of what they could only assume was alcohol.

"Stay back. Tell me your purpose. Why are you here? And where is your tribe?"

"Tribe? Bah! I ain't from no stinkin' tribe! I'm a space pirate, matey! Me ship's me home, me crew's me kin, and me flag's the only banner I serve! Now move aside, and call yer leader-hic!-ho-yo"

They didn't know what a space pirate was, but they could tell that this guy wanted to meet their leader.

"You cannot meet with our leader without an appointment. You will have to wait."

"I ain't waitin' no blasted minute longer, ye hear?! I said bring out yer cap'n—yer boss—hic!-ho-yo—or so help me sea spirits, I'll blow this place to barnacles!

Hearing the threat, the guards got ready to retaliate. Primeape realized that it had pushed its acting too long, and it needed to finish this conversation.

It wobbled around, trying its best to find the perfect footing as the alcohol from the wooden bottle started to spill. Then it said,

"Aye... hic!-ho-yo... fine, fine! I'll be back on the morrow—bright-eyed, bushy-bearded, and sober...ish.

But mark me words, matey—if yer big ol' chief still won't grant me an audience... I'll take me treasures—to another tribe. Aye! One who knows the worth of a generous soul like Sergeant Rod, the Magnificent!"

By saying those words, it turned back and started to walk towards the forest. The guard could not explain what they had witnessed. Should they be serious and worried about what the drunk pirate Rod said, or was this all a joke?

"What should we do? Should we tell the leader? The guy looks like a crack head.", said one of the guards.

"I think we should tell the leader. We cannot make such a decision. What if the drunk pirate is speaking the truth? What if it gives treasures to the Ursaring tribe or the Hawlucha tribe? We need to tell the leader."

"Okay, then you go and tell the leader, and I will stand guard."

"No way!!! I came up with the idea, so you go and tell the leader."

"What? Are you crazy? It is your idea, so you go tell him."

After five minutes of bickering, one of them decided to go and report to the leader.

"So, you are telling me that a drunk Pokemon of our species came and said to meet me and give me treasures? And what did he call himself?"

"A space pirate?"

"And what is that?"

"I have no idea, sir."

It looked like a dimly lit room with walls made out of stone and wood. The place was very spacious, and a single throne stood at the top of a stage constructed from some questionable materials.

The guard was shaking with fear, not daring to look at who was sitting on the throne. The Primeape seated on the throne was enormous, standing nearly 7 feet tall. It had a big body and a long beard. Its hand crackled as it spoke. It looked menacing.

This was the leader of the tribe.

The leader was thinking about many things. First of all, alcohol. These drinks were highly priced and extremely rare. However, the Primeape appeared to be intoxicated from consuming all of it. It was also spilling the drink as if it didn't care. This showed that the Primeape named Rod was rich!!!

Also,

"How powerful was it?"

"Ahh, sir, we were so surprised by its entrance that we didn't think to measure how powerful it really was."

"STUPID!!!"

BANG!!!

The leader slammed his hand on the handle of the throne, and the handle bent into a bad shape. The Primeape who was kneeling was extremely scared.

One of the main perquisites of being a guard was to have reasonable control over their anger, and the second was to have the ability to measure their opponents. But these fools didn't even do such a simple thing.

Now, the leader didn't know how powerful it was.

"But, sir, it was weaker than you. I confirm that."

The guard hoped that the leader would not punish him and tried to appease him.

"Ok, tell that drunk space pirate that it could meet me."

"Garry, how did it go?", asked Axel to Primeape when it deactivated its substitute.

"PRIme.. PRIMEAPE!!!", shouted Primeape with both of its hands on its hips, its chest flared out as if it had done the impossible.

"That is nice to hear. How confident are you that you can meet the leader tomorrow?"

Judging from Primeape's reaction, it was pretty confident. The persona of a space pirate named Rod, along with its drunken nature, originated from Primeape and Feraligatr.

They were Axel's Pokemon, and they had heard many stories from Axel's world and had also heard about space, pirates, and names like Davy Jones.

So, they came up with the idea, and Axel agreed. It was a perfect disguise.

"Garry, you need to make them believe that we come from a different world and we are huge and strong."

'For that, they might need some proof.', communicated Togekiss through telekinesis.

Axel was thankful that Togekiss could communicate with him mentally. If not, he might have gone crazy, as there was no one to talk to in this place.

Axel had made the alcohol from the fruits to make Primeape the drunk space pirate from Togekiss's suggestion, and this time was no different.

He knew that he needed something that would give Primeape the edge, something that they didn't have.

"So, what could it be. They had all the resources. I believe that the resources here are abundant compared to those in our world. They don't need money. So, what do you think that they need?"

It was not that they had all the resources at their disposal at the moment. But they needed to make an impression that they were rich and powerful.

"How about…."

Pokemon POV start

The next day,

The guards had not slept well the night before. They didn't want to miss the drunk space pirate. It was a strict order from the leader.

Finally, around the same time as yesterday, they saw the drunk space pirate coming towards them. The said Primeape was wearing the same torn clothes, with an eye patch, and was staggering with every step.

"Came t' see yer head honcho — hic! — yer high'n mighty barnacle boss! Took me three barrels o' rum t' get 'ere, so ye best make it worth me while!"

"We have talked to our leader, and he has agreed to talk to you. You can go inside, but only follow me.", said the guard.

Primeape nodded and followed the guard. The first thing that it did while entering was to look around. The Primeapes here didn't live in houses but in well-built caves. It was a giant stadium-like structure right in the middle. There were also designated areas for weapon storage and other purposes.

Finally, the guard went inside a cave, and Primeape followed it. The cave was artificially made. It was well lit, wide, and had a good height. Primeape never felt congested inside the cave.

It had seen spears in the hands of guards, but it never knew that they had a storage system for it, too. This place was very different from what I had imagined.

The cave was bottomless. They walked for like 2-3 minutes, and finally, Primeape saw multiple doors. The guard knocked on the biggest door, and finally, the door opened.

The guard looked back and said, "Don't you dare talk loudly here. The leader is powerful, and he might just kill you with a single punch."

By saying this, the guard entered the door. Primeape took a deep breath and got itself ready, then opened the door.

It looked like a big hall. There seemed to be what looked like carpets on the floor, but the material was completely different from what it had seen.

There were 5 Primeapes inside the room. Actually, there were 4. The leader was sitting on the throne, and it was huge. It was bigger than Primeape itself. It looked intense and intimidating, but the one that frightened Primeape was a different kind of Primeape that was standing beside the leader.

It was a Pokemon with a round body, two thin legs with black shackles around its legs. It was covered in shaggy grey fur that streamed upward and faded to white as it seemed to evaporate. Its skin was dark grey. The metal shackle on its left arm was broken, while it appeared to have no shackle at all on the right arm. It had three-fingered hands and two-toed feet. There were multiple throbbing veins on the left side of its face, with a large pink pig-like snout as well. Its eyes were red as if the creature were in an extreme rage.

It looked like a Primeape, but it looked completely different. But Primeape wanted to look confident and not surprised. So, it didn't give this unusual Pokemon any attention. It looked directly at the leader in its eyes, and then it sat on the chair near it as if it owned the place.

"So, yer the big cheese 'round 'ere, eh? Heh... Name's Roderick — hic!- ho- yo — sergeant o' the Black Devon Pirates, curse their noble guts. A real bleedin' pleasure... I think."

The leader looked at the space pirate very closely. It was a pseudo-king rank Pokemon and it didn't look so strong. The leader was a king rank Pokemon and it felt that it could deal with it any time. This relaxed the leader a bit.

The 4 others were its lieutenants and commander. The leader wanted to make an impression by bringing its commander and lieutenants to the meeting.

"So, you said that you want to talk to me. What is it that you want to say?", asked the leader.

"I came 'ere wit' an oppurrrtunity fer ye—hic! Ho- yo — a shiny one! Jus' wanna know... ye got the guts t' be interested, or ye just gonna stand there lookin' pretty?"

"What kind of opportunity?"

"I... hic! — I'm a space pirate, matey! Not o' this world — nah, I hail from the stars, shiny 'n cold! We take new worlds like pickin' fruit from a blasted tree... an' this one? Yours? Hah! She'll be ours soon enough.

My cap'n an' the big lads — hic! — they ain't come yet, 'cause they's too damn powerful! Can't squeeze through yer wee tele-porty hole. But once they fix that? Ohohooo... yer skies'll burn, and flags o' the Black Devon'll fly high!"

The leader stared at Primeape to determine if it was telling the truth. The leader knew that there were other worlds and other realms. Therefore, this Primeape originated from a different world. But a space pirate and taking over the world? It seemed like a fantasy story.

"See... I got the say-so t' pick who joins us before the real devils come. Work with us now, and yer tribe'll get riches, power — all the shiny bits ye dream of.

Refuse? Well... hic!- ho- yo — won't matter much when the sky cracks open. But aye, say yes, an' ye rise while the others burn!"

The leader looked at his commander and his lieutenants and asked, "You say that you are a space pirate, and your captain will come to take over the world. Why should we believe you?"
