"You say that you are a space pirate, and your captain will come to take over the world. Why should we believe you?"
Hearing this question, the aura of Garry immediately flared. A flicker of something crossed its eyes- disbelief? No fury!!! Its jaw clenched, hands, once relaxed, curled into a fist, and its face twisted in an instant. It stood up from the chair, and the sheer impact of it broke the poor chair into many pieces.
The sheet-like bag that it carried on its shoulders was slammed on the ground, and from it came round colored coins. The coins were brown in color and they had distinct markings with various numbers.
"Ye really think ol' Roderick—aye, Sergeant o' the cursed Black Devon herself!—would spit lies t' wormy sea lice like ye? HA! Yer brains be salt-soaked! Don't go pokin' me temper, lads—I ain't feelin' gentle! Look at this—look at all the Acanry I got! Enough t' sink yer whole stinkin' tribe!"
The leader had to agree that even though Garry was a pseudo-king rank Pokemon, he was intimidated by the action of it. The leader wanted to ask what these brown colored coins were, but it was too stunned to speak.
Finally, it gathered itself and said, "Mr. Rod, I am not saying that you are lying to me, but all of this is new to us. We have never heard of space pirates and these Acanry that you throw to the ground. So, we just want a basic confirmation."
Garry, who still looked drunk, acted as if it was trying to calm down. A new chair was brought, and it sat on it and said,
"Oh... right. I fergot—ye lot can't even read, can ye? Hah... no wonder yer stuck on this dirt rock."
"These ain't just trinkets, lads. They're Acanry—space coins, the kind that open doors, buy power, and silence mouths across the stars.
I'm leavin' 'em here... not 'cause I like ye, but as a sign. A mark that Roderick, Sergeant o' Black Devon, gave ye a chance.
Take 'em. And this too."
Saying that, Garry threw out a black colored book and the leader caught it. The leader looked at the book but it could not understand the language.
"What is this?", asked the leader.
"This 'ere... this ain't no scribblin' for bedtime, mate. This's a book on swordsmanshup! One o' me precious treasures, it is!
Ain't just paper—HIC!-Ho-Yo- it'll teach ye how t' dance with death. Hold it right, follow it well... and it'll turn a twig like you into a bleedin' swordmaster!"
The leader opened the book and started to turn the pages. While it could not understand the language of the book, it could see pictures of a human in different positions holding a sword. It looked like the drunk space pirate was not lying.
On the outside, Garry had not left anything to make its story believable. It became instantly angry when its lie was questioned and even threatened a King Rank Pokemon. A tier 2 king rank Pokemon.
It also threw the so-called space coins as if it didn't lack any, and offered them those coins, and now it provided the book on swordsmanship.
It looked like it was really serious about being an ally of the tribe. But if one were to look deeply, the tribe had no proof that the space pirates and those coins were real. They also didn't know if the book was real because they could not read the language.
But since Garry gave them such a satisfying performance, they were forced to believe that it might be speaking the truth. So, the leader decided to give it the benefit of the doubt.
"Ok, I agree to be your ally. What do you need from me and what will we get?", asked the leader.
"Ahh... that ain't me place t' speak, no sir. I ain't the brains behind all this.
Me captain—bless his ruthless heart—HIC!-Ho-Yo-he'll be comin' tomorrow. He's the one ye talk to when it comes to deals 'n matters o' weight.
I just carry his word like it's gospel... and trust me, when he speaks, the stars listen."
"Do you mean, your captain?"
"Captain? CAPTAIN? Har har har! Ye think you'll be meetin' the captain? How bloody naive can a land-crawler be!"
Garry chuckled a bit and continued,
"Didn't I just say the big guns ain't here yet? The damn portal's twitchin' like a sea hag on rum—unstable! They ain't comin' so soon!"
"No, no, no... ye won't be meetin' the captain, you poor fool."
It leaned in, breath reeking of ale.
"Ye'll be meetin' Major Hades. Aye... him.
He ain't like me. He don't drink. He don't talk much. He just watches... and when he moves, things break.
So get ready...HIC!-Ho-Yo- and pray you don't lose control o' your bowels when he steps into the light."
Now the leader was starting to believe that what this drunk space pirate was telling might be the truth. It had just thought that only Garry was here, but now there was a Major Hades too? And the way Garry described Hades, it felt like meeting Giratina itself.
By saying this, Garry said that it would go back.
When Garry went out and the door closed, the leader took a deep breath. At that time, the unusual looking Primeape said, "I realized why I was not chosen as a leader. If I were in your situation, then I would have already killed that drunk Primeape."
The leader felt a bit proud after hearing. It hypothetically patted its back. After all, this unusual Primeape was the strongest Primeape in the tribe, but it was chosen as a leader only due to its calm personality.
Primeape had an angry nature. They were instantly ticked by even the smallest nonsense, and they showed their anger by fighting. But the leader was not like that. While the unusual Primeape trained to become stronger, the leader trained to control its mind to the highest degree, and now it could act as a normal and calm Pokemon.
After getting happy for a few seconds, it started to think about Garry. It had evaluated Garry in a lot of things, but just from the conversation, it looked like Garry was not lying one bit. It was drunk and it was a Primeape. Primeape didn't have a tendency to lie like itself. Garry showed anger when it was asked about the authenticity of its identity. This was classic Primeape behavior.
Besides, the talk with the Major was not going to decide anything and till now they were not losing anything. In fact, they gained this book on swordsmanship.
The tribe had a good amount of resources, but they didn't have things like a training manual. The tribe had spear users and sword users. These spears and swords were crudely made, but they served their purpose.
Training manuals in this place were very rare, because there were no humans for creativity here. So, this book was actually very valuable if it was legit. The leader didn't care about these brown coins. It didn't know how to use it.
"Take these coins and store it."
The leader decided to study the book and see if Gary was authentic.
Pokemon POV end.
###
Actually, the book was legit. It was not the reward of the system, but this was something that Axel had in his backpack when he came here. The training manual was one of those that he wanted Primeape to train if it was interested. So, he had just bought it.
The brown coins were something that they had painstakingly created in 2 days. While Togekiss and Salamence were exploring the nearby area, they came up with this brown colored mineral. With the help of the team, they were able to turn these into coins with inscriptions.
This was needed for Garry to look like it came from a rich and powerful background.
"Garry, did they believe you?"
Garry nodded. It was very confident about its performance.
"Good. Did you scan the place? How big is it, and who is the strongest Primeape out there?"
At this question, Primeape started to explain about the huge stadium-like structure and also about the unusual Primeape.
"That unusual Primeape is Annihilape, your future evolution. Didn't I tell you that you can further evolve?"
At this comment, the eyes of Primeape lit up. It had heard that its trainer could do impossible things and discover new evolutions. But it had never seen it happen. So, when Axel talked about its evolution, it didn't believe it, but after seeing Annihilape, it had to agree with Axel.
"Looks like we hit a jackpot this time. Garry, you will definitely evolve now. Haha, this is good news."
The reason why they wanted to look so strong and become an ally with the tribe of Primeape was because they wanted to know where they were. They had no idea about this place. Primeapes were carrying spears and swords, with a big stadium-like structure, and there was also Annihilape. These things could not be explained in a logical sense; more information was necessary.
But if he played his cards right, Primeape might be able to evolve very soon.
###
The next day,
All of them started to walk towards the gate. The same guards were stationed outside. They were told that if a group of drunk space Primeapes came, they should be properly welcomed.
But what they had not expected were different species of Pokemon led by a different kind of humanoid Pokémon. They had never seen or even heard of a human before, so they had no idea what Axel really was.
As soon as they reached the gate, the doors were opened and they were led to the same cave, this time. Axel was looking around and evaluating something.
"What do you feel?"
'I feel that the concentration of infinity energy is higher here than compared to outside.', said Togekiss.
Lucario also said the same thing. Axel also looked at the materials used to make these caves because they looked very unique.
Finally, they were led to a room and told to sit. They were given some sort of drink, but none of them touched it. What if it was poisoned?
Finally, the leader with the commander Annihilape and the other 3 lieutenants came and took their seats.
The leader looked at Axel and the others. It could clearly tell that Axel was the leader of the group and so called, Major Hades. It had never seen or even heard of such a Pokemon. Tall with broad arms and legs. To be honest, it had not seen many Pokemon in the group.
But the so-called leader was undoubtedly very weak. It was not as strong as Garry, but today, Garry looked very docile near Major Hades. It didn't even look drunk today. Was Hades that scary? What the hell was happening? Was all this a scam?
"Hello, I am Gron, the leader of this tribe. Can you tell me how is Mr. Hades?"
Axel stepped forward and said, "That would be me. Garry told me that you are ready to be our allies. Is that true?"
"Yes, but we don't know what you want from us?"
"For eons, our space pirates have been conquering worlds and realms. We have different strategies. This is an unknown world for us. So, normally, we try to find a stable tribe or a community, ally with them and concur the world. After that, the ally will get some sizable benefits.
Of course, all of this can be negotiated."
"Hmm, what can you do for us? I am sorry, but we have never met or even heard of space pirates. So, you must understand why we are not convinced."

Ding!
The system has been recalibrated and will now work normally. Some changes have been noticed.

Axel gave a small smile after hearing the notifications.
