The soldiers watched with heavy expressions along with Marshal Leos, as the energy tank drained to the last bit, bringing the military convoy to a halt with a series of loud tremors.
"What do we do now Lord Marshal? There are heavy-weight weapons and the communication devices brought from the capital in the convoy" Colonel Wu asked for instructions. Meaning that abandoning the convoy or carrying the weapons all the way are not feasible options.
Marshal Leos stood, fully aware if the gravity of the situation. It's not possible to carry all these weapons and make out the barrier in time, but failure was not an option anymore. Not only the lives of the his son and son-in-law were at stake, but the lives of other students in the barrier and the lives of the civilians were at stake. They had to do this.
