The evening air at Austen University seemed heavier than normal. The street lamps' warm glow created gentle halos on the ground as they sprinkled over the walkways. The once-bustling quad had gone silent save for the gentle hum of far-off traffic and the rustling of leaves.
I'm sitting on the same stone bench I had earlier in the day facing the old fountain where the water now mirrored the pale shimmer of the moon, I'm holding my pen and my sketchbook open next to me. I came her to try to write a song again, but after so many try it didn't work.
It drifted rather.
Earlier her assured, loaded smile, and the odd way she said my name as if she knew me, it strayed to Savannahs words. Trixy, it's wonderful to at last see you. I've heard a lot of great things about you.
