Chapter 115 – Zyron's POV
"Don't worry, Nana Adora. I'll find her," I said firmly, trying to keep my voice steady even though my chest felt like it was caving in.
"Thank you, " her voice trembled through the phone, and then the line went silent.
I lowered the phone slowly, my pulse pounding in my ears.
"Where are you going?" Jonas's voice came from behind me, but I didn't stop walking. My fists clenched at my sides as I headed for the door.
"I'm going to find my girlfriend," I said, my tone cold, flat, and final.
"I want to help," he said, stepping closer.
I turned my head slightly, meeting his eyes with a glare sharp enough to cut glass. "You? Help me?"
"Yes," he said without hesitation.
I bit the inside of my cheek, forcing myself to breathe. I was trying—God, I was trying—not to lose it. Because if I let my anger take over, Jonas wouldn't just get punched this time. He'd end up bleeding on the floor.
