It had been a long time since I had seen her at the university.

What was she doing here?
"What are you doing here?" Savvanah asked.
Scarlett smiled.
"I should be the one asking that. You didn't even invite me to my nephew's baptism."
Nephew?
I frowned.
Scarlett looked around at everyone before smiling.
"Yes. You're all thinking the right thing."
"Asher is my nephew."
"So that means..." I whispered.
Scarlett looked directly at me.
"Yes, Trixy."
"Savvanah is my sister."
I slowly turned toward Savvanah before looking back at Scarlett.

The kidnappers hadn't lied.
Scarlett and Savvanah really were sisters.
"What do you want, Scarlett?" Zyron asked coldly.
Scarlett slowly walked toward him until they were only a step apart.
"What a shame."
"If Father had let me handle the original plan..."
"I would've had you exactly where I wanted."
"What plan?" I asked without thinking.
"Stay away from Zyron," Savvanah said firmly.
