Zyron's POV
"...Joaquin?"
I stood frozen, my eyes shifting between my parents and the man standing before them.
Mom and Dad looked completely shocked.
Neither of them moved.
Neither of them spoke.
It was as if time had stopped the moment he appeared.
Joaquin slowly walked toward my mother.
He stopped only inches away from her before gently brushing the back of his fingers against her cheek.
"You haven't changed at all," he said with a faint smile.
"Don't touch my wife!" Dad shouted.
Before anyone could react, Joaquin glanced at one of the armed men.
The man immediately understood the signal.
He walked toward Dad and pointed a gun directly at him.
"Joaquin... please don't do this," Mom pleaded.
My heart pounded harder.
"M-Mom..."
"You know him?"
Joaquin slowly turned toward me.
"So..."
"You're Zyron Ezekiel Ortega."
"I've finally met you in person."
I ignored him and looked back at my parents.
"Mom..."
"Dad..."
"Who is he?"
Neither of them answered.
