Zyron's POV
"Enough!"
Joaquin suddenly shouted as he raised his gun and pointed it directly at me.
"Joaquin, no! Please... not my son!" Mom begged through her tears.
Joaquin's eyes never left me.
"If you had chosen me instead of Gino, none of this would have happened," he said coldly. "But fine... I won't kill your son."
Slowly, he moved the gun away from me.
Instead...
He aimed it at Dad.
"Maybe I'll kill him instead."
"No!"
I immediately threw a punch at one of the armed men holding me. He stumbled backward, giving me a chance to run toward my parents.
Before I could take another step, another guard grabbed my left arm. The man I had punched quickly recovered and grabbed my other arm.
I struggled with everything I had.
"Joaquin... please," Mom cried.
"You've always hated me," Dad said calmly. "I'm the one Rain chose. She loved me... not someone who became obsessed with her."
"Shut up!" Joaquin roared.
Dad didn't flinch.
"Then do it."
