This quirk allows Ryu to be able to grab onto heat conductive objects like metal, and even stone. Once he grabs a hold onto an object, it is then filled with an energy that is magma/lava-like in appearance. With the object in hand, Ryu can fire simple projectiles like waves of fire, but he can also use them in unique ways, like creating a projectile that acts like a torpedo when he stabs the object into the ground. Or he can simply slam the object into the ground to cause a huge explosion that propels him faster than most of quirks that require techniques to move fast, and can keep up with Iida's Engine Quirk. However, if Ryu were to overexert his quirk, he starts to generate energy that is closely similar to an atom bomb, annihilating everything, including himself.
