"Are you fine Eva. How did you hurt your leg?" Nick stepped forward making them to break their eye contact. Eve stood up and stared at Nick who was giving him an awkward smile. Eva looked at Nick forcing a smile on her face "I am ok. I just fell Down from stairs and hurted my feet...." she faced downward hiding her teary eyes.
"Do you need help?" Nick asked her giving her some concern, whereas Eve was just staring at her silently.
"No need I will manage... thanks for asking" she turned down Nick's help without hesitating.
"fine then try to get up....let's see if you really can stand on your feet or not" Nick stared at her folding his hand. "if you got up on your own then me and Eve will leave. isn't it Eve. " he turned towards Eve who was not speaking a word from his mouth and was just standing silently with his worried expression.
Meanwhile Eva tried to get up from her place but she gave up as she was not in the state of walking by her own. She looked up towards Nick who was already staring at her and smiled getting embarrassed "I think I can't stand by my own...."
Nick laughed looking at her embarrassed face "don't be shy. we are friends and we all fall down from stairs, it's normal. isn't it Eve" he turned towards Eve again.
"I don't know...." He answered getting little irritated.
"well then hold my hand" Nick stretched his hand to help her out while she held it. Eve glared at their hands smirking like he was getting jealous of him. Eva stood up slowly holding Nick's hand and started to climb up the stairs slowly. when they were walking slowly in the stairs being cautious, suddenly Eve carried Eva in his arm in a bridal style making Nick and Eva shocked by his sudden action. Eve stared at her while carrying her in his muscular arm "you are really slow. I am hungry and with your speed we will not get lunch." Eve started to walk while Nick stood still for a while "wah....he do have feelings for her and I am sure about it..." he then ran up towards Eve and followed him.
Bell goes on for lunch break and all the students started to get out from their classrooms. Eve walked through the hallway carrying Eva making stare at both of them getting shock. Eva felt embarrassed as she was in his arms like they both are a couple.She looked up in his sweating face and her cheeks started to get red seeing his mesmerizing face. he just look perfect from every angle.
"it's Eva right. what she is doing in this transferred student's arms" A girl with a pony tail hair speaked up making Eva nervous from her words.
"I thought she was innocent but she really knows to seduce a handsome guys" another girl with a sharp nose and as well as her sharp tongue speaked up looking at Eva getting jealous.
Eve looked down towards her as he realized that she was feeling uncomfortable with their words and stare "if you want you can hide your face in my chest" he turned her head with his large palm making her hide in his chest. Her heart started to skip for him as she heard his heartbeat.
"his heartbeat is really fast then a normal heart. Is it because he is carrying me in his arm." Eva whispered in a low voice so that he won't heard her voice. Her breath became heavy and her cheeks got all red like a red rose. she thought about Iven for a while "I wish you would be in his place but the things are different know. I am done with you. I am done with everything related to you." tears started to fall like a broken dam making Eve's shirt wet from her tears.
Eve took her directly to the sick room where he layed her down on the bed.The nurse cleaned her wound and puts a bandage in her both knees. she smiled looking at Eve who was looking worried about Eva when she cleaned Eva's wound.
"your boyfriend is really caring and handsome." she smiled looking at Eva while putting everything back in the fist aid box.
"he is not my boyfriend... don't misunderstand" Eva speaked up in a rush blushing little bit.
Nurse smiled looking at her "I am sorry I thought you both were a couple as he carried you here without caring about anything."
Eva stayed silent and looked up at Eve "thank you. I think you should leave know otherwise you will not get your lunch."
Eve nods at her "then I will send your lunch to Kathrine"
"No need. and don't tell her that I hurted my knees hmm" She gave him a cute look so that he won't tell her anything.
"ok if you don't want her to know then fine , I will get the lunch for you."
"no...." she was just speaking when he got out of the sick room leaving her inside.
she sighed looking at the closed door "this man is really out of my mind"
Nurse laughed looking at her "I must say he is a boyfriend material or maybe he likes you"
As nurse said the word LIKE she started to get butterflies in her stomach "how can it be? he is a transfer student who has joined the school from this year only. we don't know about each other also....it's impossible for him to like me" she speaked up getting shy.
"okay....as you say. now I'm going too to eat my lunch....see you" nurse too walked out from there leaving her alone in the sick room.
In cantin Eve and Nick got in line to get their lunch. Eve took two plates and started to get their food.
"don't tell me you are taking food for Eva." Nick asked him in a teasing manner.
"I am just being a gentleman..." Eve gave him a reply without looking at him.
"oh... gentlemen...haha" he brust out in the line.
"stop laughing and get your food."
Eve walked away from the line and head towards sick room with two plates in his hand. Eva was lying on a bed with her eyes closed when Eve walked inside making a loud sound of opening of the door which made Eva to open her eyes. She looked at the entrance door and saw Eve standing their holding two plates in his hand. she get really touched by his action towards her. her heart started to beat faster while her breath becomes rapid. she had never in her life felt this kind of feeling with anyone. she kept her hand in her heart staring at him without taking off her eyes ""why it always beats fast whenever he is around me?""
