Inside the area covered by darkness, Grey was on the verge of panicking.
'Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!'
The five-colored fusion orb hung above his palms, swelling no matter what he did. He tried to stop feeding it essence, and for some reason, he couldn't. The orb only grew heavier, humming against his skin like a living thing.
The moment the darkness had swallowed him, he had sensed the excess darkness essence saturating it, and an idea had formed. A five-colored fusion orb was already hard enough to control. If he focused on only four elements and used this essence as the fifth, the balance should be easier to hold. At first it was. For a little over a second, the orb sat steady within his control, and he allowed himself a flicker of satisfaction. Then it slipped away from him.
