Chapter 379 - A side quest (2)

Less than an hour later the trio emerged into a vast chamber, its ceiling soaring high above, dotted with jagged crystal formations that glittered faintly in the dim light.

"We arrived faster than expected," commented Bregror.

"Yes, there really was nothing that stood in our way," replied Salsahara.

Alfraed looked around the vast chamber, he scanned the surroundings with a mixture of awe and wariness. The chamber was immense, its crystalline walls stretching far into the shadows, their surfaces catching the faint light and scattering it in a myriad of directions. The air here was colder, carrying a metallic tang that made Alfraed's skin prickle. The ground beneath their feet was uneven, littered with shattered fragments of crystal and rock.

Unlike the lifeless surroundings, a distance from them there was a small lake or pond. The soil around it was fertile, allowing various vegetation to bloom beautifully.
