Once upon a time, in a forest far, far away, a woman, Linda, took care of orphans in her ruined orphanage. Energy radiated throughout the area.
Pepe, her eldest son, helped her out.
All of the orphans considered themselves siblings. They struggled to survive, but they did.
Three brothers were adopted from the orphanage by a married couple, Henry and Adelia. The brothers were reluctant at first. Still, they were known as the Fisher Family. A family of farmers.
The names of the brothers were Hafen, Stark, and Matteo. They were around five to seven years old.
Henry and Adelia always warned them to never go far from their house.
Even so, the three brothers ignored their warnings on multiple occasions. One day, they ventured deep into the forest without any supervision. They wanted to visit The Orphanage and stumbled into a village.
A group of kids had gathered for an organized event.
Ms. Lily, the organizer and adult, announced that they were about to begin.
In an instant, it rained.
Ms. Lily frowned and urged, "I guess we have to try again tomorrow. Now, kids, run back to your homes quickly."
Stark, Matteo, and Hafen moved on to the depths of the forest. As they rested in a cave, they grew hungry.
All of a sudden, the other kids ran into the cave. They were scared for their lives and hid inside.
"Huh? What's wrong," Stark asked.
"There's a monster chasing us," a kid warned.
"It attacked the village," another kid exclaimed.
Matteo was shocked that a monster had made it that far.
Hafen narrowed his eyes and inquired, "So, you brought it over here?"
The kids affirmed.
Stark smirked and exchanged glances with his brothers. "We'll deal with it," he reassured the kids.
As they exited, a giant snake lunged at the brothers.
Matteo, Stark, and Hafen dove out of the way. They charged back to it and attacked.
The snake outmaneuvered them and hit them into the cave. It slowly slithered into the cave and looked around. It noticed the scared kids and rushed at them.
Matteo laid on top of Hafen and Stark.
"Oww," Matteo cried.
Stark growled.
"Get off me," Hafen demanded.
Suddenly, the giant snake felt a jolt, and its eyes widened. It was pulled away midair and dragged out of the cave.
Everyone stopped panicking and stared at the cave's entrance.
Henry grasped the giant snake's tail and swung it into multiple small trees. His hands were covered in an aura of energy. He fixed his straw hat and scowled.
The giant snake, bumping into everything, frantically slithered away.
The three brothers and the kids were bewildered and in awe. Henry was strong.
After that, Hafen, Matteo, and Stark happily decided to stay with Henry and Adelia.
Stark ran up to him and requested, "Uh, dad. Please train us!"
Matteo and Hafen were behind him. They awaited their foster father's answer.
Henry sighed and scratched his head. "If you're going to be running off, then, I suppose so," he remarked and obliged. He taught his sons how to spar and some of his martial arts. He taught them karate, sword fighting, archery, and other forms of hand-to-hand combat.
After a while, Stark, Matteo, and Hafen helped their foster mother, Adelia, with her garden.
Stark's eyes darted across the garden. He kneeled and looked closer. "The seed I planted is gone. Where did it go," he questioned.
Adelia chuckled and fixed her red headband. She pointed to a flower. "Look over here. It bloomed into a beautiful green flower."
Just then, Matteo exclaimed, "Mine did, too. It's red. Wow!"
Simultaneously, Hafen quietly watered his newly bloomed blue flower.
Stark laughed.
Adelia smiled. "You took good care of them." she asserted.
Stark stared at his green flower and caressed it. "Hello," he greeted and smiled.
On the next day, Pepe, from The Orphanage, arrived at their house. Pepe had green hair and eyes, and he was a little older than the brothers.
Henry worked on his small farm.
Pepe approached and greeted him.
Henry welcomed him back to their land.
With no sight of the brothers, Pepe asked where they were.
Henry explained that they were training by the trees behind their house. He chuckled and commented that they were quite special.
Pepe headed towards them and wondered what Henry meant.
Behind the trees, the brothers yelled numbers as they did pull ups on the tree branches. 750...751...752...
Pepe was surprised.
Hafen alerted that Pepe arrived. The brothers dropped down from their branches.
Pepe asked them why they were training.
The brothers expressed that they must protect the people from the attacks of the monsters.
Pepe was astounded by their determination. He was reminded of The Guild, the former group that defended the forest. His father and Henry were members.
Unfortunately, The Guild was no more. Henry was the sole survivor to this day.
The three brothers surrounded Pepe and asked why he came by.
To their surprise, Pepe taunted them.
The brothers accepted the challenge and lunged at him.
Eventually, Pepe defeated the three of them.
On the ground, Stark muttered that he would win next time.
Hafen questioned how he won if they've been constantly training.
Pepe smiled and replied that it was a secret.
Matteo praised him.
They returned to the house to rest, and Adelia served them food.
The brothers ate through bowls of food and stopped when they were full.
To Adelia's and Henry's shock, Pepe ate through more bowls. After dinner, he waved goodbye.
The Fisher Family watched in disbelief as he walked away.
The brothers wondered how he could always be stronger than them.
Henry and Adelia realized that they were out of weeks of harvest from the farm.
Soon, the brothers trained with a group of kids.
Ms. Lily barely supervised. She slept while leaning against a tree. Her sunglasses covered her behavior.
From the forest's path, a girl watched them.
A boy noticed and asked what she was holding.
The brothers looked at the girl and stopped the training session.
The girl had black hair and red eyes. She was holding a big egg with a metal ring around it. She revealed that it was an egg from a monster.
The kids were shocked. One of them called her a monster and charged at her.
The girl spun around him, and the boy crashed into a tree.
The other kids surrounded her and demanded her to hand over the egg.
The girl glanced at the boy and realized that he was knocked out but fine. She uttered that she could not trust them with the egg. She asked where The Orphanage was.
The kids lunged at her.
The girl unexpectedly defeated them all while holding the egg.
Matteo commented that she seemed strong.
Hafen asked who she was.
As she stood on a branch of a tree, the girl asked if they would tell her where The Orphanage was or if they would fight her, too.
Stark asserted that he would like to fight her. He paced towards her. Hafen urged him to wait.
The girl jumped off the tree.
Stark rushed to her and threw a punch.
The girl dodged to the side.
Stark's punch brought down the tree. He quickly turned to face the girl.
The girl was surprised by his strength. She pointed out that Stark was different than the other kids.
Stark threw another punch.
The girl threw the egg into the air. As she evaded the punch, Stark smirked.
Above them, Matteo jumped and grabbed the egg.
The girl kicked Stark in the face.
Stark rolled on the ground, and the girl rushed to Matteo.
Matteo ran into the forest.
The girl caught up with him and tackled him to the ground.
The egg rolled away and floated into the air towards Hafen. As he grasped the egg, Hafen asked what she was planning with an egg of a monster.
The girl stood up and explained that it was an egg for snakes, a species of monster, and that it was abandoned. She continued that a friend wanted her to bring it to The Orphanage.
Suddenly, Hafen felt resistance from the egg.
The egg flew out of his grasp and into the girl's hands. After that, she ran away.
The three brothers were stunned. The girl had outwitted them in their specialties. Who was she?
