Chapter 97 - Chapter 97 The Scene Between Us

The restaurant's warmth still clung faintly to the air when they stepped back outside. The afternoon sunlight had turned golden, soft and lazy, spilling across the sidewalks as Hugo opened the car door for Lea. She slid in, her expression calmer than earlier—still quiet, but steadier.

The ride to the shooting location didn't take long. The site was an old district block transformed into a realistic police drama set. Metal barricades lined the edges, and banners with the show's logo fluttered above trailers and camera rigs. Dozens of staff members bustled between lighting setups and costume tents.

As soon as Hugo's car rolled past the gate, heads turned. The main star had arrived.

"Redrich! Over here!" The assistant director waved frantically, his clipboard tucked under one arm.

Hugo gave Lea a brief glance before stepping out. "Stay close," he murmured. "It might get a bit noisy."

"I'm fine," she said, already unbuckling.
