But to her suprise, her phone rang as soon as as she cames to her renting place. It was an unfamiliar number, but she decided to answer. In the other side of the phone a cold voice heard with an emergency.
"Your grandmother is critically ill, come quickly."
In the hospital
"Grandma..."
As an orphan in her previous life, she was happy when she learned that she had a family, but now she got scared when she thought about what she would do if the only family member she had was gone.
She grasped the old lady's withered hand, her vision blurred with tears. The old lady weakly opened her eyes, saw it was her, and managed to smile weakly.

The doctor gently pulled Gu Yingxue away.

She sat on hospital bench outside the ward and buried her face in her hands and cried.
Her phone rang incessantly. But she was not in mood to answer the phone, so she ignored it. After she calm down she washed her face and looked at the phone. She looked at the dozen of voice messages that sent by her agent Qin Yao. Her fingers trembled as she tapped the to one, and Qin Yao's shrill voice instantly exploded in:
"Gu Yingxue, are you crazy?! I just made an appointment with director Lin, and you are just going to leave like that?"
"Do you even know how many recourses the company has spent on you these three years?!"
"I heard that your was ill. Is your sick grandmother more important than your future?! Director Lin is waiting for you to accompany him for drinks!"
Hearing those inhuman words Gu Yingxue feels like her blood was boiling. She looked at the grandma on the hospital bed softly call her again,
"Aying..."
Gu Yingxue went to the grandma's hospital bed, sat down, and took the old lady's withered hand and gently traced back of grandma 's hand with her fingers. She took a deep breath and took her phone and called her agent. As soon as she called backed the other side answered the phone and Qin Yao's shrill voice instantly exploded in
" You grew your wing now and even dare to ignore my calls. Do you want to hide in the industry?"
"I was terminating the contract."
Her soft and firmed voice pierced through the hospital room like a bullet.
Qin Yao's voice was still playing repeat on the phone,
"Terminate the contract? Can you come up with the penalty money 5 million?"
"I think you forgot; my contract expired yesterday. So I don't need to pay any cent as a penalty. You can do what ever you can and don't bother me again!"
Gu Yingxue pressed the power button directly, and the the moment screen went black, only the sound in the ward was the regular beeping sound of the electrocardiogram monitor.
Gu Yingxue squatted down and looked directly into her grandma's cloudy eyes.
"Aying..."
"Don't worry I quit not because of you. But no matter how important it , it can't compare to place that you are in my heart.
She wipe off the tears that were about to fall from the corner s of her grandma's eyes. After grandma fall into sleep she quietly left the ward.
She decided to went to her renting room, get a shower and took some clothes and went back to hospital. Gu Yingxue took a taxi and went to the renting room that she had been living over these three years. It was single room with attached bathroom. The only furnitures on the room was her bed and a leg broken table. Over the years she saved money as she can even it was a small sum of money. Now grandma is sick she urgently needs to find some money. Grandma had previously purchased medical insurance, which covered some of the cost, but it was far from enough to support long-term hospitalization. She knew that the days ahead would be very difficult, but she didn't feel sad.
She lay down on the bed thinking what to do for earn quick money. Just then a mechanical voice rang in her mind.
