After Kyero begins Marcel's training, they all decide it would be a good idea to go on a quest, a small on as they are only copper rank.
[RANKINGS FOR QUESTS GO AS FOLLOWS; COPPER BEING THE LOWEST, THEN BRONZE, THEN SILVER, THEN GOLD AND FINALLY DIAMOND. THE DIAMOND QUESTS ARE ONLY MENT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE CLEARENCE FROM THE QUEST GIVER THAT THE ONE TAKING IT IS STRONG ENOUGH AND HAS A BIG ENOUGH PARTY TO COMPLETE IT]
The quest they chose was low-level monster hunting, slimes. They geared up and went out. Soon after the first slime appeared, Marcel said.
"It's mine"

Marcel clicks his fingers and 2 bolts appear stronger then before. The bolts blew the little slime to pieces,

-huh, it looks like there is some kind of leveling system for me- Marcels current level was 1, and after each time he levelled up he became stronger, faster and when he levels up so do his skills. The group continue finding slimes to kill until they come upon a small fox beast, but this one seemed irregular, it wasn't trying to fight them, it almost seemed... scared of them. Nora, a tamer, went up to it and the little fox seemed to instantly go to her.
"I think I'll make you my first ever tamed monster, and I'll call you Red" Nora said to the little fox.
She cast a spell onto the fox, taming it quickly. Nora named the fox Red due to the red stripe running from the tip of its nose to the end of its tail. Red jumped around everyone then stopped on Marcels shoulder and looked at him for a couple of seconds then jumped of and sat next to Nora's feet.

Marcel smiled at the little fox and they continued their hunt. Kyero slashing 9 in a row with a single strike. Nora using Red to bite 5 slimes to death. Gregory using his sword and shield to obliterate 6 slimes and finally Marcel using his magic to blow 4 slimes to pieces. One slime after another they killed a total of 24 slimes, double what the quest had asked for. Marcel had now reached level 2 with an extra 25 exp on top. each level consists of 100 more exp then the last until level ten which it then increases by the thousands. This was the point where Marcel still believed that this was all just a dream and when he gets into bed and goes to sleep he will wake up back in his home, in his room. Marcel's life wasn't the most exciting one, his family had died in a car crash, 5 years ago. he never really had many friends as he didn't go out, he just stayed at home playing games and sleeping. So he didn't exactly have anything to go back to. It was getting dark on the travel back to the kingdom, when suddenly they hear a noise from the bushes and from behind the trees.
"Ha looks like we've found some more slimy friends" Gregory says whilst laughing
Immediately as he starts laughing an arrow flies straight for him, he dodges and the arrow grazes his arm, which it then shoots into Marcel's shoulder.
"Goblins!!" shouts Nora
Marcel screams out in pain and straight after he holds his head, as if that too were in pain. There was a pause... it was silent, no one moved... not even the monsters... they were frozen still in fear... as the one the goblins hit looked up at them with gleaming red eyes. Marcels arm began to glow.

Marcel began to mumble to himsefl as he stumble towards the goblins that shot at him.
"Yes" Marcel utters.
He grabs one of them by the throat, he casts Crimson Bolt, blowing the goblins head off, he casts it again, and this time three bolts appear. He snaps his fingers and it strikes through the three goblins that were left.

Marcel rips the arrow out from his shoulder then turns around looking at the group, as his eyes returned to normal. After a couple of steps he stretches out his hand, with tears in his eyes. Marcel smiles and as the light begins to fade from his eyes, he collapses onto the floor, and is completely unconscious. Gregory and Nora pick him up and begin to carry them back to the kingdom.
