"Where am I now? The noise is gone... so I guess that's good... wait a minute... are you... helping me? We are so different... you tried to kill me... why are you helping me? I don't understand. You must have something planned for me if you want me to live... even after all that pain I made you feel... you want to help me survive? No... I feel... horrible... what are you doing to me? Why do you think this is fun? What did they do to deserve what you did to them? Wait... was that noise coming from something that wanted to help me? Did you take me away from them? Why? ...Why is your eye glowing... why is it releasing sparks?"
Michael returned to The Sanctuary and then realised that thanks to Delta asking him to do one last favour, he was late for a meeting (a meeting in The Sanctuary is basically where The Protectors meet up and discuss some of the people they rescued and some that have yet to be found and they also discuss other incidents such as Destroyers having more or less power than usual). Of course, Michael showed up in the middle of the meeting and brought up the child that he went to save and how it seemed that they had quite a bit of power... such as enhanced hearing, telepathy and the ability to cause auditory and visual hallucinations to targets. "Michael." a voice spoke from across the room... it was Ink, the leader of The Protectors. "Did you say that they could cause hallucinations?" Ink asked as he seemed lost in thought. "Indeed... I experienced it myself." Michael replied whilst holding his hand to his chest. "Well... I'm not entirely sure if it was a hallucination... you have a robotic body Michael... hallucinations happen because of the mind... but you don't have a brain since... you know... you have a robotic body." Ink explained. "Well what else could they have done? Could they have altered reality itself?" Michael inquired. "No... no I'm just saying that... it could be something else... it has to be something else... if the kid did that to you now that I think about it... they must be scared... which means Nightmare could try and get to them at any minute." Ink worryingly replied. "I think that that kid should be our top priority... he seems to have a lot of potential and not only that but he is in danger." Michael suggested as he stood up and started walking out. "Well saving people is our top priority so I can't really object to that." Ink agreed. Soon after everyone was dismissed and everyone was told to keep an eye out for the child just in case.
Dream had a different idea which was to ask his brother, Nightmare, to see if he sensed any negative emotion and to also hope that Nightmare wasn't in a bad mood because if he was... things might not be as good as Dream hoped for them to be. Michael just waited until he either got a mission or until Dream came back... it turns out that the latter happened first as Dream returned and told Michael the bad news. "Nightmare says that he senses an overwhelming amount of negative emotions over in that direction just outside of the barrier!" Dream explained as pointed to the area behind The Sanctuary. "If he starts using his powers that close to The Sanctuary... it could be disastrous! Dream can you handle it? I scared him last time and that only made things worse." Michael asked. "Leave it to me!" Dream replied reassuringly before quickly heading in the direction of the child.
Michael didn't know what happened... all he knew is that Dream came back with the child and he seemed fine... and after a few months... the child became a regular citizen of The Multiverse and eventually Michael got to know his name... Lukas. Lukas always carried around a small red orb and when people asked about it, he said that he found it in his world and he considered it a gift. People noticed some strange behaviour in Lukas... no matter what question he was asked, he knew the answer to every question... he knew everything... people originally thought that Lukas was just quite intelligent... but after some time it became obvious that it was something else... something unnatural. He knew the answers to questions that even most Protectors wouldn't know... later people found out that he had in fact been visiting the training grounds in The Sanctuary... and when some people saw him training, they said he even had immense skill infighting. A few years passed and nothing too eventful had happened...except for the fact that Lukas didn't seem to be aging... some of the scientists asked Lukas if they could analyse the red orb that he had... but he declined most of the time and then he said "It's the only memory I have of my home... I'm not letting it out of my sight." The Protectors then asked if Lukas was allowed to come with the scientists to see how they analyse but he couldn't because of all of the dangerous chemicals and such that should not be anywhere near someone of Lukas' age. Soon after, Lukas was considered strong enough to join The Protectors and The Protectors actually wanted Lukas to join because of his fighting capabilities and his intelligence... and so he did join.
"I have, as of today, officially joined The Protectors. I'm excited...they thought my skills in training were amazing... wait until they actually see what I can do. You know... I can't thank you enough for this opportunity... but I still don't understand why you did it...don't you think for a second that I'm not cautious of you... I appreciate what you've done but, after what you did, I don't think I'll be able to fully trust you. I can't believe that a goddess has actually given me some of her power though... but... are these the powers I really want? The powers of death and destruction? Is this the goddess that I would really want to borrow power from? After what you did to her... no... I trust you... just not as much as you think."
