Chapter 42 - Chapter 43: Seems Like I Really Like Him (Part 3)

Tessa Caldwell went to the kitchen to cook some white rice porridge, hoping Faye would eat it before sleeping. But by the time she finished and brought it to the room, Faye had already fallen asleep.

She placed the porridge on the bedside table and sat by the bed, raising her hand to check his forehead. It still felt a bit hot, but much cooler than before.

She said softly, "Why are you so fragile? Even I'm stronger than you... I don't fall sick so easily."

Seeing his slightly furrowed brows, seemingly unsteady in slumber, Tessa used her fingers to gently smooth out the creases.

Faye's brows immediately relaxed.

Tessa smiled slightly, wanting to withdraw her hand, but was caught by Faye. She was startled, then her smile widened, but the next words left her unable to smile.

"Don't go..."

Was he, in his dream, asking that woman he loves not to leave?
