Tessa Caldwell felt a heavy heart and glared at Faye. She didn't know what she had said wrong. She might have a skeptical attitude towards others' expressions of love.

But the loathing exuded from the other person was something she could not mistake.

She leaned back slightly, arms crossed over her chest, all a subconscious self-defense.

Faye took in all of her actions, and his already ice-cold face grew even colder.

He needed to calm down. Anger would only push their relationship further apart, or even cause a complete loss.
