The phone in Xavier Warren's hand made a crisp "crack" as it hit the ground and shattered into pieces, but he couldn't care less.
He stared at Tessa Caldwell in shock, his eyes full of accusation, "Come on, Tessa, you can't do this to me."
Nolan Ford was beside him, holding a freshly poured glass of water with a lemon spinning inside, which had a refreshing and invigorating effect.
Fearing that Xavier might faint from anger, he handed his glass over, "Want a drink before you speak?"
"No, I don't," Xavier pushed it away and then looked at Tessa: "I think she could use it more."
Right now, she needed a glass of water to shut her mouth.
Can he say this? If his brother hears him, he'd burst with fury and might just split him right in half. He said aggrievedly, "Hey, Tessa, you're really ungrateful, aren't you? Knowing full well what I mean to you, you dare say something like that, provoking so blatantly; it's despicable."
Tessa looked at him pitifully, "That's not true."
