The four of them had surrounded Mel, who sat at the edge of the table; only they could hear the words of the young man whose body trembled incessantly owing to the Venom Energy. The three disciples persisted in consuming their rations; they were not the targets of the issue, for Sam had declared he would take responsibility when this transpired.
"I brought you here!"
Sam, half the size of Mel, proved his words were no lies fabricated to save the moment. He sat directly beside Mel, while the other three were on the opposite side of the table.
"This morning, you reacted like never before. Your body started moving on its own; though we tried to stop it, we couldn't, and we took a bit of a beating from your strikes!"
