When Sam dropped a proposition no one expected from him, the three students just looked at each other. A ten-second silence dragged on until the muscular youth coated his fist in the Earth Element and smashed the Energy Crystal that had turned to trash; nobody moved a muscle until then.
When the fist that crushed the brittle crystal lifted, the two students who had backed away leaned in to get a closer look at the aftermath. Huge-feet and curly-hair scooped the shattered, pea-sized crystal fragments into their palms and inspected them.
"When we swing a pickaxe, we only apply force to a tiny point, but doing it like this, I bet we'll cut down the time it takes to destroy the trash. Now, each of you assimilate a crystal and try destroying it this way!"
