Looking at the options, Cely decided to go for the Bronze Lottery first before working her way up the list. Saving the best for last tends to leave you happiest after all.
Now, as far as Cely knew, the different rarities determined the tier of items you could get from the lottery. While bronze is limited to basic items below Tier 6, silver tends to grant Tier 6 items. Gold, though, can have a huge range of power. All of it, though, above Tier 6.
She doesn't know if there is a limited pool of items since some of the possible results she knew about are... questionable, especially for the Bronze lottery.
On Earth, there was a certain person who got a system. In one of their bronze lotteries, they got: Yala's underwear.
A pair of women's panties.
Who is Yala?
Well, the Foundation searched. After nearly a millennium, they found the woman. She was a Neko living in a universe entirely separate from Earth. A millennium ago, one of her panties had suddenly disappeared while she was wearing them.
Truly, the system could give the user anything from the lottery, as long as it existed and fit the loose criteria of strength designated by the lottery level.
A wheal popped up in Cely's vision. It was divided into a practically infinite number of sections, and the contents of each section were indescernible.
A jingle sounded in Cely's mind as the wheel began to spin. It only took about a minute before it stopped, and a celebratory jingle sounded in her mind.
[Congratulations! You got Simple Handgun x1]
With a poof of smoke, a revolver-like gun appeared in front of her, clattering on the floor. Cely kinda figured she wouldn't get anything great from the Bronze Lottery. Most of it tends to be mortal items that couldn't even damage her.
Firearms that cultivators use exist, but they aren't mainstream. Swords and other weapons tend to be more so, since they can be used for long-range attacks as well, and it was just tradition.
Looking past this rather generic pull, Cely began her next one. The now familiar jingle sounded, and the same wheel reappeared and began to spin. After another minute, it stopped.
[Congratulations! You got Soul Trapping Formation [Tier 5] x1]
Looking at this pull, though, Cely smiled. This was good stuff!
Normally, when facing Tier 5, it is important to keep an eye on the enemy's soul, since they could just escape at any time. Using this formation, though, Cely would be able to concentrate on the fight fully without worrying about that.
As an FYI, in the fight with the Oakland Spider Matriarch, Cely did not really watch out for this because monsters at Tier 5 are (usually) unable to escape with their soul, and Cely had no way to stop it anyway.
With another poof of smoke, the formation plate appeared before her. Formation plates are plates (of course) that had formations pre-engraved upon them. They were portable and just needed to be injected with energy to activate.
Storing the plate in her ring, Cely activated the next pull.
[Congratulations! You got Inscription Pen x1]
Cely was happy to see this. Though not expensive, at just a mid-grade Energy Stone, not having to go and buy one when she wanted to make formations or talismans later was nice. Also, it could have been way worse, which her next pull showed.
[Congratulations! You got Plate of Persian Tomato Rice x1]
Looking at the dish that appeared in a puff of smoke, Cely wasn't really disappointed. It was nice getting something from back home, even if it was useless.
[Congratulations! You got Book Of Null x1]
This last pull, though, made Cely's eyes pop out of her head in surprise. She didn't know how this could be something she could get from a Bronze Lottery. Not to mention, Null was someone on her kill list.
He was a Primordial God.
So, since she had thought about him and the name of the book, it didn't take a moment before a hand stretched out of nothing to catch the falling book that had just appeared.
Noting that Null had truly done nothing but retrieve the book, Cely relaxed. She didn't know why Null was unable to discern her identity when her parents and even Lucifer managed to do it.
Trying to take her mind off what had just happened, Cely returned to start her last spin. And, after her previously relatively lucky pulls, this one was pure disappointment.
[Congratulations! You got Rock Feather [Tier 2] x1]
Although Rock's were decently strong monsters, this feather was just from a small one at Tier 2. Its value was negligable, less than a single low-grade Energy Stone, so the second it appeared in a puff of smoke, she incinerated it.
With that, only the three Silver Lotteries and one Gold Lottery remained.
Without much fanfare, the wheel reappeared. This time, the unremarkable wheel had changed slightly. While previously it had the color scheme of a roulette wheel, it had changed to luxurious white and silver.
The jingle, though, sounded all the same, and the spin was no different. After a minute, it stopped, and after another notification, something appeared in front of her in a puff of smoke.
Looking at it, Cely blushed. It reminded her of Nicholas. And so, extremely flustered, in but a heartbeat, she stored the Immortal Tier maleness of a dragon into her ring.
With no pause, so as to unsee it, Cely started her next spin.
[Congratulations! You got Vial of Heaven Immortal Phoenix Blood x1]
Catching the vial that appeared in front of her, Cely couldn't not be happy.
Although her previous spin was embarrassing for her, it was honestly a really good pull. This vial was no different.
Both were extremely expensive alchemy materials, especially the dragon phallus. Even just selling them could easily net her millions worth of high-grade Energy Stones. Though usually, it would be paid in low- to mid-grade Immortal Energy Stones.
Though Cely planned to keep them for later. She was an Alchemist Master of Tier 6, so she could use them herself once she broke through to the Nascent Soul Realm to make pills.
Happy with her first two pulls, Cely began the last of her Silver Lotteries.
[Congratulations! You got low-grade Immortal Fire Stone x1]
Looking at the shimmering, red orb that appeared in the puff of smoke, Cely felt it wasn't too bad. Getting the equivalent of 100 high-grade Energy Stones for free was nice, even if underwhelming compared to her previous pulls.
So, not expecting much, Cely started her last pull. The wheel this time was even more different. The thing that surprised her the most, and she found weird no one had ever mentioned, was the sheer aura that this projection radiated.
She felt that, even in her peak state before death, she would have no power in front of it.
The wheel was decorated in gold and purple. Its aura created a rainbow sheen that warped everything it touched to its will, or lack thereof. Cely couldn't be sure with systems.
The spin itself didn't change, though. After a minute, it stopped, and a notification of her price appeared.
[Congratulations! You got Grain of AO-500 x3]
Seeing this, Cely was ecstatic! With this, she would have no fear of using the thread of her previous lives' power should the moment arrive.
Now, what was AO-500?
AO was the designation the Foundation used for anomalous objects, and 500 is, of course, the number. AO-500 specifically is a collection of grains of unknown species and origin. Each one, when ingested, will heal the user of any ailments and damage they have suffered.
Even cultivation can be restored in an instant by them without side effects. Now, why would Cely not be able to use them to restore her own power?
Because reincarnation erases her past life from her body. So, when AO-500 is ingested, it will merely restore the best state of the current life, since the previous life is practically non-existent within that new being.
The thing she wants to use it for- to repair any damage using her old power would cause once she used it- was completely fine, of course. She even got three entire grains, so she would have more opportunities to fully restore herself.
On top of the previous evolution she got with the ability to hide herself inside space, and the knowledge that her parents knew about her whereabouts and were watching, Cely felt her arrogance well up.
That feeling, though, she quickly suppressed as she reminded herself of her experience before her death.
There are things even all of this would not save her from. She needed to get stronger!
"I don't have another second shot. And now...", Cely thought about the egg inside her ring, "There is one more life I need to protect as well."
