Adam Piers met Bertha Swift's puzzled eyes, instinctively recalling the sensation of her hand touching his forehead earlier. He was stunned again and turned awkwardly to the side.
Seeing Adam like this, Bertha found it odd. Did this man really suffer some aftereffects from the fever?
Thinking of this, Bertha sought help from Dr. Wright. Although she wasn't fond of Adam, she couldn't bear it if he turned into an idiot due to her misdiagnosis.
Dr. Wright noticed Bertha's plea for help, looked at the clearly off Adam, and tentatively asked, "Do you remember your name?"
Adam didn't notice Bertha's subtle actions; he only appeared displeased when he heard Dr. Wright's question. "Do you think I remember?"
Dr. Wright was taken aback. Could he really not remember?
He looked at Bertha in panic.
Bertha was visibly worried, clearly shocked by this sudden turn of events.
"Then do you know who I am?" Dr. Wright tried again.
