David Locke left "Nightshade," the confusion in his eyes faded, and with a clear gaze, he drove all the way to Rose Valley. Though it was already midnight, the number of reporters outside the community had not decreased but increased instead. He hesitated for a moment but still avoided the reporters and entered the villa area.
When he arrived in front of his house, the entire villa was dark. David slightly rolled down the car window, lit a cigarette to sober up.
Swallow City in early March was still quite cold, and the wind was biting. David, after drinking and driving all the way here, felt a faint headache as the wind blew. Planning to leave after finishing the last cigarette from the pack, he suddenly heard a loud crash from the villa, followed by the sudden lighting of the staircase's sensor light.
David's heart instantly jumped, and without thinking, he pushed open the car door and jumped out.
