Mary Scott was interrupted by David Locke, but she wasn't upset and leaned entirely into his arms.
David Locke, looking at Mary Scott in such a well-behaved manner, felt his fatigue from the past few days vanish. After going downstairs, he intended to place Mary Scott on the sofa, but she refused and pointed at the dining table, "I want to watch you cook."
"Okay." David Locke smiled, pulled a thin blanket from the sofa, and placed it on the dining table before setting Mary Scott down.
At the end of February, the villa was well-heated, yet David Locke still wasn't reassured.
Mary Scott, wrapped in the thin blanket, urged, "Hurry up, I'm hungry too."
"You sure know how to boss people around now. Didn't you earlier disapprove of me and want to get rid of me?" David Locke couldn't help teasing.
Mary Scott was embarrassed, "Obviously, it was you who wanted to leave."
