Joyce Ashley, who believes that Jeffrey Foster, much like an immortal, wouldn't like young girls, is currently leaning against the hospital bed pondering the same issue.
Isabelle Martin knows full well that Jeffrey Foster can't see, yet with his gaze directed at her, she still feels an inexplicable guilty pang and can't help but tentatively ask, "Are you angry?"
She didn't deliberately make decisions for him earlier, but clearly sensed Jeffrey Foster's resistance to treatment. Since it's a psychological issue, if there's resistance from the start, it will surely be counterproductive.
But being stared at like this, she couldn't help but overthink, and then she heard the man speak out of context, "How old are you?"
