Adam was quiet curious about this and it made sense to him why he felt the wild life in the forest was non existent. Most of the animals might have migrated or left the area.
'So it must still be in the area of my home. I should try and absorb it.' Adam was a fan of fantasy and mythology ontop of that he always like the darkness element in them. Betting on the probability that after absorbing it he could use darkness element after absorbing the monster gave him a new direction to grow.
'But first I need some money to go back. even before that I need to grow stronger, some better gear and information.' He decided to stay a while in the city, do a few quests, make some money and then go back to search for the monster.
He was well aware of the fact snow and shadow were there but at this point he couldn't care less about them right now. He needs to come first before a dog and horse. They could die of starvation or get killed by the monster but that is a problem for when he gets back.
Adam wasn't the attachment kind. He always placed himself first then others.
Browsing through the quest board Adam picket 2 quests that were available for his rank.
1. Hunt slimes near the Abandoned coal mine ( recently posted)
2. Deliver as much Blood herbs as you can ( continuous )
He just had to bring his card near the quest and it would e registered on it.
Adam decided to start the herb quest cause of he had a super strong sense of smell after absorbing the wolves and from the knowledge he got from the mysterious man he believed it wouldn't be difficult for him to find this specific herb.
He decided to take a little nap in the guild and nearly around 6 am he left to complete his quest. He felt as if he had gone back to earth where after retiring from the army he would get up early and work at a diner serving breakfast to people.
A corporate slave in that life and in now in this too. He didn't wanna live like this in this world too. Working for some big company for the betterment of the society. He wanted to just be big boss or a DON or a master in this world.
But now was not the time for these thoughts. He needed money first and the best way was to work for it. Leaving the city Adam made his way towards the mine. He wanted to collect as much herbs as he can on the way there and back as to not waste time so someone else could complete the quest before him.
Walking down a dirt road that led into a near by forest that was connected to the one where Adams MOB was, he focused his sense of smell to find the herb.
After searching for a while but not detracting from the main objective he picked up plants and herbs but none of them were the one he needed. After a while he he picked up a scent that he followed which lead him to a unique plant.
It was a green in colour but if one looked closely they would see the leaves had red tips but one could only notice them if they looked really closely.
This was a uncommon herb that was used as an ingredient in one of the cheapest regeneration potions. This was what Adam needed so he made sure to familiarize himself with its scent and that's where the money waking part began.
Sprinting through the forest and picking up as much herbs as he could he ran towards the mine without knowing that it wasn't this easy for anyone to find these herbs in the world.
