"A lighthouse?"
Diverting his gaze from the dark gneiss stone tower in front of him, the pigeon tilted its head, staring at Anvis, waiting for him to continue.
"Yes, a lighthouse."
Gently nodding, Anvis began to speak calmly.
"In fact, from the very beginning, I've always had a doubt. Is the world I'm in real or an illusion?
From my perspective, I naturally hope this world is real. But if that's the case, how should the existence of those 'outsiders' be explained?"
The howling snowflakes swept down, landing on the shoulders of Anvis's white suit and between the feathers of the pigeon, but the snowflakes touching the latter merely passed through as if encountering air.
Among the flying snow, Anvis quietly stared at the large pigeon, which seemed not to belong to this world.
"You once said you are a shadow of the high-dimensional being 'Kain Woda.' If so, can I ask you to enlighten me?"
