Alex couldn't help but somewhat shrink when the vow was mentioned again.
The Binding of the Heavenly Beasts was apparently done for this one vow. But he didn't know what it was. He had no way of knowing as he was right now.
The Sun's Talon Realm. He would have to visit it as soon as possible—probably right after they were done with Pearl's Trial.
The Matriarch still had her eyes on him. "Are you willing to invoke our vow right away?" she asked before her eyes narrowed further. "Can you even do that?"
Alex was forthcoming with his answer. "I have not yet reached the stage with my body that I might need to know what this vow is. If I learn what it is, and I believe it is important, I will do so in the future."
The Matriarch smiled. "Then we shall continue taking care of it as we have since we first made the vow."
"It?" Alex asked with a quizzical look.
