Alex took off his earring to feel the direction in which Pearl was. The most he could get out of it right now was a general direction, and that was more than fine with him.
Pearl could easily handle himself for a couple of days, and even if he came across a fight where he was in danger, he could regain his physical strength and get out of it. Not to mention the teleportation artifact he carried around that he had received from his father's corpse.
Once Alex learned of the direction, he took off immediately, flying at an extreme speed. The land was massive and would take him more than a few days to get around, especially because he was going to be challenged along the way.
Alex had no plans on stopping for most of the challenges. But given the number of challengers in this region, he would no doubt come across a few that he couldn't ignore so easily.
Not that he had any intention of it either. He had a Sword Heart to form.
