The woman remained silent for a long moment before a wide grin appeared on her face.
"My… you really did figure out who I am. I did not expect that from you."
Alex smiled back. "I am honored to be complimented by you, Matriarch."
"Oh, don't go calling me that. I was enjoying the anonymity too. Still, I must say I am very surprised. I promised I would give you something in return for hitting me and surprising me, but you figured out everything I was going to. Is there anything you want from me?"
Alex thought for a moment. "Your Axiom. How does it work exactly?" he asked.
"How does an Axiom work? Or how does my Axiom work?" she asked.
"If I'm understanding correctly, your Axiom makes it so that you, as an aquatic beast, are forever the fastest creature when in water. But how does that reflect on land?" he asked.
"It's simple," the matriarch said. "I am the fastest wherever there is water in my surroundings."
