Xuan Qukuang was rather curious upon hearing that Alex did immediately have something to ask. It was more than just the request itself that she was curious about, but also more so what sort of request he would want to make now that they had gained a level of familiarity with each other.
Would he exploit it right away? Or would he still have some reservations?
"If it is at all possible, I would like to see the ancestral bloodline pool your family has," Alex said.
All thoughts the matriarch could've had beforehand vanished right away when she heard that. Such a request was so far from norm that she had to spend a few seconds to be sure that he was serious in the first place.
Her eyes narrowed. "You want to see our… bloodline pool?" she asked.
"Yes," Alex said, before pausing for a moment. "You do have it, don't you? I'm actually not sure if all the heavenly beasts have one or not. I only know that the White Tigers and the Azure Dragons have one."
