The Wizard didn't take it, still looking coldly at Nolan.
Nolan sighed, put down the bottle, and said with a wry smile, "Staring angrily at me won't help. You know... ever since our last failed rebellion, I've fallen out of favor with the Octopus Monster.
If it weren't for me being his Chosen One, killing me would weaken his powers—he would have done it long ago."
The ice on the Wizard's face thawed slightly, and he said in a deep voice, "So, you still can't contact the Octopus Monster?"
