Three days later, Ning's flight license was finally approved.
The centaur judge shook his hand as he happily gave him the news. "I've never seen someone with so much speed and yet so much control in my life. Are you sure you only awakened a few days ago, sir?"
Ning gave a beaming smile. "Thank you for the compliment. And thank you for being the judge."
"It was a pleasure to. I'll see you around."
Ning nodded and left.
Blake stood underneath a small tent meant for bystanders. He waited for Ning to arrive before standing and clapping a little. "Congratulations on passing the test."
"Thanks. Now I won't need others to drive me around," Ning said and watched Blake carefully for any sign of reaction. The man showed none, as if having to drive Ning around for the past few days hadn't been troubling.
"The open house starts in half an hour. Should we leave?" Blake asked.
Ning gave up on trying to get the man to feel exasperated and nodded. "Let's go."
